Not only was it an honour to be invited to celebrate the marriage of Phil & Amy, I was also honoured to paint their furbabies as my gift to them.

Last night's art exhibition was hosted by the children and what an amazing way to the end the term at After School Art Club.
The children had a go at being mini art teachers themselves by demonstrating how to use water colour paint and encouraging the parents to have a go!
Over the last 6 weeks we have created self portraits in charcoal, pet portraits in acrylic, water colour butterflies, pastel still lifes and much more.
Look at those concentration faces!
This Wednesday is the last class of the term and we will be painting night skies and sunsets in acrylic.
We will also be holding our very own art exhibit to show case all of the children's artwork at the end of class. All parents, carers and grandparents are welcome to come along and enjoy some light refreshments whilst viewing the wonderful art.

This is my daughter, she has been coming along to my art classes for a while now.
At first she would rush her work and want to run around the room or ask for snacks when it wasn't quite snack time.
Now all she wants to do is keep drawing or painting and I have to ask her to stop because it's time to pack up!
Her progress shows how attending the classes regularly can spark that inner creativity and determination to finish wonderful art projects.

This summer I will be running a Kids Art Class at Dunelm where your child can come along and learn how to paint their own portrait of a parrot.
