This week it dawned on us we have probably never done a formal social media introduction 🤦‍♀️

Hi 👋 We are the Hall family and the team at Holly Farm Stables.

We moved to Devon 11 years ago to start our livery yard journey and have never looked back. The team consists of Pat & Len (Mum & Dad to me), Katie (which is me) and Orla our new puppy!

Mum & Dad had ridden a little bit and took me to start riding at 5 years old.....I was immediately hooked. I have always been fascinated by showjumping and have competed up to Newcomers but have become more interested in the precision and benefits of the dressage as I've gotten older and now dabble in a bit of that too. Having been out at Medium we are now working towards Adv. Medium in between getting off the ground over the coloured poles.

I studied BSc. Bioveterinary Science at Hartpury College which taught me so much about land management, biosecurity, equine disease and therapy. Around the same time as I graduated Mum & Dad decided that they wanted a change and so we put all of our knowledge together and moved to our new life in the country.

Amongst many other jobs Dad is chief fixer 🤣 The farm needed a lot of work when we moved in and so there is now no fence he can't fix, no water trough he can't stop leaking and no field too steep for him to roll!

Mum loves to keep the place looking tip top so in between looking after the horses she can be found keeping the grounds looking beautiful.

Orla, our new puppy, is so new she's not been photographed yet 🤦‍♀️ but she is a real bundle of fun! Every yard needs a dog to greet you at the gates and when you arrive she is very good at that. We are hoping to take up agility in time, she loves the tunnel but she is too small to be tackling those big jumps yet!

Our huge stables are great 99% of the time but it makes for a big job when it comes to painting and laying fresh bedding! We are looking forward to welcoming our new arrivals.
