It's been a busy few months for teeth cleaning at c'howl dog care,something we take great pride in.

Did you know that by the age of 3 up to 80% of dogs will have some sort of gum disease, which, if not treated, can cause problems for your dogs vital organs like their heart,liver,lungs and kidneys cutting their life span sort 🫣

At C'howl, we use the emmipet tooth brush system along with special ultrasonic toothpaste and descaling tools to help remove plaque and tartar build-up, keeping your dogs teeth and gums clean and healthy 😀

These are a couple of dogs that have been in this month all after only 1 session, too❗️no need to block book 5 sessions.🤦‍♂️

What we say is come to us we clean and then follow up with maintenance cleans when it suits you remember its a prevention‼️ will save you a fortune in vet bills in the future food for thought 😉

Busy week last week but still managed to get these beauts in for microchipping.

Few clients last week for teeth cleaning we love to see those pearly whites 🦷🦷🪥🪥 we are not just the regular dog groomer.

From as little as 18months dogs can start to get a build up of plaque which causes sore gums and smelly breath.

We use the emmi pet ultrasonic toothbrush along with the emmipet tooth paste to help prevent and break up plaque.

‼️ due to some same day cancellation recently, I will now be charging a cancellation fee 50% of the groom. I will not be rebooking your appointments until this is payed‼️

I fully understand things happen and appointments might not be able to be kept but please let me know. An appointment I can not fill is wage lost.
If your boss took £70 a week out of your wage £280 a month you would not be happy. Please be mindful of this.

While Emma is full steam ahead with dog grooming I would like to remind clients that we still have other procedures available we are still offering.

mobile microchipping,pregnancy scanning and teeth cleaning.

Microchipping is £5 a microchip from our salon or £10 a microchip mobile.

Pregnancy scanning from our salon will be £25 mobile starting from £30 depending on location.

For teeth cleaning please pm us for details were we can arrange a consultation over the phone.

Lastly we all know how important it is to brush our dogs between grooms but over the last few months we have noticed some dogs coming to the Salon matted :-( Since Emma started dog grooming she has had a matting policy in place.

Most importantly its your dogs welfare that is firstly taken into account.

So It's with a heavy heart Emma will now be reinforcing her matting policy and all extremely matted dogs will be charged.This can cause alot of wear to her equipment but also can cause her to go over into someone else time slot which when your working to time frames can be very stressful.

This will carry a £10 charge

Just a general reminder can all our clients please make sure your fur baby's are up to date with flea treatments we have had a case this morning so we've had to shut to do a deep clean and flea bomb salon apologies to today's clients that we have had to reschedule.

‼️ our salon will still be open this week. We are fortunate enough to work on a one to on basis, in a north facing premises (gets no sun all day) ensuring the salon stays cool for your fur babies. However if your dog shows any signs stress, dehydration or over heating the grooms will be stopped immediately.

Please remember walking your dogs to the salon in these extremely high temperatures can cause pain, burns and distress to your dog. ‼️

‼️🆕️‼️ We are now offering ultra sound scanning for dogs either mobile or from our salon to confirm pregnancy.

We also have spaces available for microchipping remember all dogs/puppys must be microchipped before they leave the breeder by LAW or face a £500 fine❗️ ping us a message and we will be happy to book you in🐕🐶🐶🐩

Due to high intake of new clients and restricted availability for my current clients 6weekly grooms, I've made the decision to close our books to new clients going forward from today.

I do this with a heavy heart but will reassess again in a couple of months.

Good morning hope everyone has had a great weekend :-)

Just a reminder of some other services we have to offer. We do offer microchipping for dogs and cats its been a legal requirement since 2016 for all dogs and pups must be microchipped before they leave the breeder by LAW!

Cats now also must be microchipped by LAW which was brought in last year. We work along side the uks leading microchipping company Animal microchips,we have a fully qualified microchip implanter who can also do mobile appointments if you are unable to attend our salon.

We do also offer a teeth cleaning service which has been a real hit with our regular clients having had some great results using emmi pet products.
If you would like any more information on teeth cleaning please feel free to get intouch and we can have a chat and see if its somthing we could help with.

Not just the regular groomer :-)

To all our clients old and new we are now fully booked for the rest of march and now most of april we do still have some dates available but are very limited and we are try our best to accommodate everyone.

Bearing that in mind we are normally 5/6weeks booked in advance so to avoid disappointment please make sure you give yourself time to book your fur babies in.

After a day on the beach it’s important to brush your dogs to help prevent matting, develop a good grooming routine and promote a healthy coat 😀

Slicker brush- good for all coat types and keeping tatts/matts at bay.

Metal comb- getting right down to the skin, a MUST HAVE for long coats, shaggy coats and curly coats.

‼️if you can’t get a comb through your dogs coat your groomer CAN NOT get a blade guard through‼️resulting in dog been clipped short.

Furminator- fantastic for your short haired breads in removing excess coats and dead fur.
