Dr. Tom Mitchell vet behaviourist. His knowledge on dog’s brains and their emotions and how these emotions can be changed for the better in dog training always explained in a really easy way that’s resonates with most dog owners. Definitely worth a listen to his new podcast 🐶

Pleased to announce on top of my other dog training qualifications I graduated in the certified dog trainer course with Dog Training College. As a dog trainer I feel it’s important to arm yourself with as much knowledge and insights into dog behaviour and information as possible. The dog training college provide an amazing community, fantastic tutors and mentors , continuous input and information on the very latest force free methods and constant seminars and guidance from top trainers and behaviourists from around the world. Very privileged to be part of their group . Everyday is a school day ❤️❤️

This weekend has seen beautiful Apple graduate from her Puppy Fundamentals! She and her amazing owners have done great and they will definitely achieve their dog owning dream. Over the course we have worked on a range of skills including basic cues, settle, loose lead, recall, focus and engagement , confidence, resource guarding, play and disengagement. She’s had great fun and has an amazing relationship with her humans.

New puppy Sadie, stunning sheepadoodle began her puppy training. 9 weeks old which is an ideal age to build awesome skills and hit that key socialisation period. Worked on settle, shaping her pen area, engagement with owner and confidence. Great first session ❤️

Another great training session with beautiful Apple. Her humans are doing such a great job building her skills. She has now achieved amazing focus on them. Loved working with 10 month old Storm and his lovely dog Mam! Helping this young man to be calmer and have more positive emotions to dogs, cars, passers by etc! He did awesome job. Look forward to seeing his progress ❤️

The game Catch is a great game to play but why? What is it's point? The Catch game teaches our dogs several skills namely to be comfortable in close proximity to us, to focus on us and to engage with us. When we want our dogs to walk loosely on lead or close to us off lead, we need close proximity to us, focus on us not the environment and engagement with us.
