She had her ears checked recently as they were very red and painful! 😖

Despite being the biggest cutie, Christie is not very compliant with ear drops at home, so we used a monthly treatment into both ears to make hers and her owners life easier! 👂😄

If you are ever worried about giving medication please communicate this to the vet and we can look for alternative options! 💊💉💧

Dodger and Flump recently visited us for their annual vaccines and health checks with our feline lover Stella!💉🧡

The appointment isn’t just for vaccinating your cat, it’s a chance for our vets to spot any early signs of ill health. 😷

It is also an opportunity to discuss prevention of many ailments, parasites and diseases that your cat may experience, particularly as they age.🦠

It is also a great opportunity for routine testing e.g. urine tests to monitor kidney function.🩸

All our vets are used to handling cats, even difficult ones, and they’ll be gentle and mindful of your pet’s safety.🐈🐈‍⬛

This guilty looking guy is Eddie!🖤

He was an emergency appointment after eating a silica gel packet!📦

This is very dangerous as can cause obstruction in the gut, with Eddie being so small this posed a huge risk!🚫

Luckily his owners were smart and super speedy in getting him to the practice to vomit the item up!🚗

Since these adorable photos we’ve seen Eddie for his 3rd puppy vaccine and he’s doing super well!🥰

Did you know?
A hernia is a condition where the muscle wall is not formed fully and internal organs can move to the wrong place.💪
This can be dangerous if not surgically fixed as can cause strangulation of organs! ⚠️

Well done to Oscar!🏆

Oscar visited us this week to have his blood pressure checked by our nurse Jessica. He sat no bother and was completely unfazed.🐈‍⬛
He then had a check over by our Vet Stella, who was happy with his readings and prescribed his medication to keep his pressure stable.💊

This little cutey is Rolo!🍫

He was castrated last week and enjoyed singing in the kennels after the procedure!🎤😂

Each patient goes home at a varied time this depends on:

- The type of procedure they’ve had🩸
- How well they recover😴
- How they behave (eg if they have separation anxiety)😧
- How painful they are after their op😖
- How cold they are after the anaesthetic🥶

Rolo missed his Mam so much that he got a early home time!🕰️

Peek a Boo!😝

This is Rascal, our nurses Mel and Dan’s baby. He spent the day with us this week as he hasn’t been feeling very well recently. 🤒

He underwent some investigative ultrasounds by Miguel, who is an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging. Rascal was so chill throughout this that he decided to take a little nap.💤

These 3 cute kittens stayed the day with us last week for castration before they can be rehomed! 🐈‍⬛ They were all very playful and loved all the attention!😍 They are now able to be adopted from RSPCA Felledge, we work closely with the charity and know someone can give these boys a loving home! 🏡

Check out Carlo enjoying kale after his castrate! 🧡🥬 Volume up for some ASMR crunching sounds! 🔊 When bringing any small furry to practice for an operation or hospital stay we ask that you bring a delicious packed lunch as well, this is so we can encourage them to eat and prevent gut stasis! 🍴🥗🐰

Look at how happy Runa and Mika were to see there paw-rents after they spent the day with us. Look at their happy bum wiggle🐶🥰

Hershey was in last week to be neutered following the new laws that have been put in place. As you can see she is the sweetest girl and got lots of love from all member of staff while she was in with us. 💕🍫 Her tail was going non-stop all day and she had lots of kisses to give.💋

Utopia update🐦 As you can see Utopia has changed a lot in the last few days. She has definitely found her wings and her feathers have started to develop. 🪶She is now able to eat by herself and is putting weight on nicely. For everyone asking what she is, we believe she is a baby pigeon.

Meet Utopia🐥 This little baby was brought into us on Tuesday after a member of the public found her in a bin.🥲 When she was brought into us she was very skinny and very weak, our nurse Ardene has been looking after her hopefully nursing her back to good health. ❤️ So far she is doing very well and is getting stronger by the day.💪🏻

Puzzle feeders - the way to go!!🧩 You can feed cats and dogs using a variety of puzzle types.🐶🐱 They help: - Slow down the rate of eating - provide mental stimulation🧠 -reduce boredom and destructive behaviours - mimic how animals would have to work for their food in the wild🦁🐺 - make meal times fun!!!
