Even on a bank holiday, still training!

With multiple dogs barking at them, being pounced on, kids having temper tantrums in front of them, food on the floor everywhere, and gunshots galore!
They both walked at heel beautifully, ignored everything around them, and did me proud! 😍

Having one large dog that's pulls can be hard enough, but two is even harder 😔
They both did great and managed a calm and relaxed walk, nicely alongside their owner 😍

His owners booked him a session as he was testing the water at home, and it needed rectifying sooner rather than later!
Once we had worked on that, we also had a look at improving his lead work.
His owner did great, not easy with giant breed. He also made massive progress as well 👏

The English Bull Terrier is making a comeback!
His owner booked a session to work on his loose lead walking and some recall.
He smashed it. Well done, big lad!

These Sharpie x Bulldogs had a session to work on their lead work and some reactivity towards other dogs!
They were a dream to train and made massive progress quickly. We were able to pass multiple dogs with zero reaction after only 1 hour!
I've never seen this breed combination of breeds before. You have to admit they are pretty cute! ☺️

Fergus after 1 hour of training!
Now, he still has some way to go to go. However, there was no way his owners could ever be this close to another dog, let alone calmly walking next to Fudge without any reaction!
His owners couldn't believe the difference in one session! 👏
We changed his lead for one that would help Fergus and his owners, as well as changing the relationship between dog and owner!
You would be amazed how many of my clients have started training with another trainer/behaviourist first, then come to myself to get the help they need!

His owners got in contact with myself after numerous recommendations, as they had been working with another trainer for over 16 sessions! And felt like they weren't getting anywhere 😞
He was highly dog reactive , and his lead walking was making him hard work for his owners every time they left the house.

Jet the collie!
Jet had developed some reactivity towards other entire males, and only entire males, due to some bad experiences he had with them! 😔
Luckily, Boden and Oscar were on hand to help in his rehabilitation 😃
Here he is after one session, I think he even wants to be Bodens friend 😂

He had some typical herding breed issues, highly focused, just on the wrong things 😕
He was also very strong on the lead, making everyday walks a nightmare for his owner.
Here he is in the middle of Nantwich town centre with dogs all around him, with no pulling, no staring and no lunging!
Great progress in only 1 hour!
Zelda, the Northern Inuit!
Not a common or easy breed, but her owners fancied a challenge!!
She had a session to work on loose lead walking, as well as her being very excited, border line obsessed towards other dogs.
After some changes and some tweaks, her owners were able to walk her around a busy public park on a loose lead, along with her walking calmly past other dogs and people!! 😁

Little, Big Ronnie!
Ronnie's owners booked him a session to work on his uncertainty of new things.
He's only still a baby, but better to deal with these issues now, instead of them progressing and being harder to rectify in the future!
He did great, and by the end of his session, his confidence had come right up 😁

From insane barking when the doorbell rings, highly distracted on a walk and destructive behaviours when being left. 😔
We were able to work on their behaviour in and out of the house, and by the end of their session, they had made massive improvements in all areas 😁

These 4 had a joint session to work on some issues they have been having.
Each dog was a little bit different, but all did great, and so did their owners. Hard work with 4 dogs! 😆

Logi!
Logi started sessions due to his reactivity to other dogs. It was so bad that he was almost unbearable for his owners to take him out in public 😔
He is now able to pass dogs happily with no reaction, so his next step was his recall around distractions!

Storm the Mali! 😍
Storm has been struggling with her reactivity to dogs sometimes due to her being nervous around them.
So, with the help of Boden, we worked on building her confidence around other dogs and improving her recall at the same time 😁

During his session, we looked at introducing sits and downs, walking on the lead, recall as well as ironing out a few bad habits he had when coming from the breeder!
He and his owners did great for his next session. We are off to a busy park! 😁
Part 3 of Koda
After 3 previous trainers/behaviourist, and thousands of pounds (£££), his owner never thought she would be able to take him to a busy public park due to his reactivity 😔
Well, here he is, busy public park during the summer holidays!
By no means perfect yet, but a massive improvement in only 2 sessions!
His owner is able to start enjoying taking him out to these kinds of places, and more importantly, Koda himself is also starting to enjoy himself 😃

A Huntaway!
This breed is known for being hard work!
And exactly why his owner booked a session for this big lad.
He liked the sound of his own bark, very excitable, border line frantic with people coming to the house, and he was very difficult to walk on the lead!
An hour later, we had no barking, no jumping all over me, and his owner was able to walk him up and down the street with people and dogs around!!
Not bad, if I do say so myself 😉

I have helped in the advanced training of both of both the parents, who are good examples of the breeds, both temperament and health wise.
A number of the pups will be starting training with me as their owners want to get the best start possible.

Narla the bulldog!
She was like a wrecking ball, due to her excitement and wanting to say hello to everyone!
Which was not ideal when she's jumping up and running into people, especially due to her size and strength.
We worked on meeting people calmly and showing her she would get more attention with her feet on the floor.
We also did some lead work, getting her loose lead walking around distractions, which meant a nicer walk for everyone 😄

Taran, the lab with Milo, the terrier!
Taran has been having sessions to work on his reactivity towards other dogs, which is a mix of excitement and fear.
After seeing another 'behaviourist' and just being told he's aggressive and that it is what it is 😠
Understandably, his owners were left deflated and upset.
A common thing I am sadly seeing more and more!
This is only his second session with me, and here he is, sitting about a meter away from another dog he has never met!
Milo the terrier, started sessions with myself as he was dog and people reactive himself. Now he has come full circle and is helping rehabilitate other dogs, with their reactivity!!
It's funny how things work out 😉

Part 2 of Kodas session
Kodas is very fear reactive! 😔
He over years had learnt to react and things then go away. However, this meant he wasn't able to have a normal life.
Part of his training is to show him the world is not as scary as he thinks, and with the help of me and Boden, he took a big step forward to realising this.
He and his owner both did great and hopefully showed them that not all trainers/behaviourist are the same!

The worst part is that he has already been to 4 other trainers and behaviourist, who have either made it worse or taken his owners money with no advice given on how to help Koda.

Had this girl for a session to work on her refusing to walk, who has not long been rescued!
After seeing the reason why she was slamming on the breaks! We were able to get her walking and also keep her walking.
Very sweet girl and is now able to enjoy long walks with her new owners 😃

These two boys, 8 and 9 years old, have not long come from rescue though no fault of their own.
Their owners wanted to have a session to work on a few issues they were having before they became bigger issues!
A very productive session all round, who says you can't teach a new dog new tricks?! 😉

Their owner was at a bit of a loss as to what to do with them!
They both pulled hard on the lead, were reactive to dogs and people as well as both jumping up!
We worked on loose lead walking, owner engagement, and desensitisation to dogs and people while on the walk.
They both worked very hard and were ready for a nap after their session 😴 😆
The next session is to work implementing what they have learnt in a busier place with more distractions.

POV of a session with Frankie and Ruby Please excuse my camera work 😳 😂 These two had been to various other trainers, and their owner wasn't happy with the methods used and lack of progress. Due to Frankies reactivity to other dogs, when I said we were going for a walk with another dog, their owner didn't believe me to start and even laughed! Then Fudge appeared 😄 They both did great, and so did Fudge she was a great distraction, even if she didn't know it 😜 😄

Lillys owner got in contact due to her high levels of reactivity towards dogs and people 😔 After working hard on the lead and making massive improvements, it was then time to start with some off lead! We used a secure area in a busy park and took extra precautions with the muzzle (which I think shows responsible dog ownership from her owner) Still some work to do, but this would not have been possible a few weeks ago! Excellent progress this pair!! 👏
