Prince heads home in a couple of days..
Today we got out and did some bits around dogs and people, allowing him to make more of his own decisions and further proofing his on lead obedience.
Princes behaviour was so unbearable his owners weren’t able to take him out, his toy was his dummy which didn’t leave his mouth, which created some huge and dangerous amounts of possession and he couldn’t function without it in his mouth. He would scream with frustration practically all day, he wasn’t able to switch off, he was extremely obsessive with things like chasing his shadow, biting the floor, digging relentlessly, redirecting. He was also extremely leash reactive to dogs, people, and environments through tremendous amounts of barrier frustration and having so much pent up drive, energy and frustration. And he wouldn’t think twice about sinking his teeth into you in an uncomfortable or arousing situation.
Prince will now be able to get out and enjoy seeing the world without causing his owners and the public a headache.
Beneath all that frustration is a really sweet boy💙

Roseys owner initially contacted us for help with lead walking. She would drag her owner to the field every day, causing her lots of aches and pains, meaning walks were pretty unbearable.
Rosey is extremely ball driven, so for her, getting to the field to play ball was all she was thinking about the minute the lead came out.
Over a couple of sessions, we worked on her emotions, association to the lead, arousal and drive capping, which helped us improve Roseys lead walking drastically and she became a pleasure to walk!
BUT…
Just a number of days later, Rosey started displaying some dog reactivity. Which she has never done before.
Now in many cases, when you remove barrier frustration through the lead, reactivity decreases hugely.
But she’s never been reactive???
For Rosey, she had never really seen the world or noticed things like dogs passing her in the street.
Not because she doesn’t go out, but because she was so fixated on getting to the field, pulling relentlessly at the end of the lead, with total tunnel vision for the ball. That she has never actually been able to take in her surroundings.
The only time Rosey has taken notice, is when she’s been harassed by random dogs, or had dogs lunge at her in very close proximity.
Now we have slowed things down for Rosie and shes able to soak up her surroundings, she’s noticing things she wouldn’t have before, paired with many negative experiences with dogs which has lead to some reactivity.
Today, we worked on this and showed Rosey that dogs aren’t a threat and nor are they something to need to greet every 5 minutes on the lead, just something you see but don’t need to act on. We also worked on advocating for Roseys space to prevent any further negative experiences with dogs.
Her owners face at the end, says it all ❤️
