Well it really feels like the end of an era now. Even though I’ve been closed a few years, I’ve just waved goodbye to my cabins. They’re off for a second life housing rescue rabbits at Estuary Small Animal Rescue in the Lake District!

(They don’t look this good anymore. After years of service and a few years of neglect since we closed, but the rescue will be giving them some TLC & repairs).

I still have the stack of 3 guinea pig hutches , and the guinea pig playhouse if anyone is interested in those, let me know.

🐰 STASIS IN RABBITS 🐰

Our 2nd Webinar by Dr Sonya Miles, lead exotic species clinician for Highcroft Exotic Vets in Bristol, a RWAF gold accredited practice, and creator of Just Exotics. She will be presenting an hour long zoom webinar on stasis in rabbits.

An incredibly common condition that many rabbit owners will have experienced. She will be discussing the potential causes, what we can do as owners, but also how vets ideally manage these cases, as well as hints and tips on what to do if you rabbit develops stasis and how to avoid it.

There will be the opportunity after the webinar to ask questions. This webinar will be suitable for owners but also vets and veterinary nurses.

£15 for the Live option where you can ask questions at the end or £10 for the recorded version after the talk has taken place.

Huge thank you to Sonya for putting this together & helping to educate the general public on such an important topic as well as helping us raise money for the rescue.

To book please message us or send us an email: [email protected]

We've seen some small cages, but this is certainly the smallest. 😮 Here you can see a pet shop cage that Kirby the Syrian hamster arrived in compared to one which we feel allows hamsters the room to express their natural behaviours.

Syrian hamsters need lots of space, height and room to dig and explore. Always research the perfect-sized cage for your hamster beforehand. 👉 https://bit.ly/3GXZxsB

Just an update….

I’ve decided not to reopen as planned next year, as we are intending to moving house.

So I’m going to close the business for now…we may or may not be back in the future from our new location.

Thanks to all my customers, good bye for now!

Now halloween is over, time to start thinking about Christmas!! 🎄 Our foraging booklet would make a great gift for any rabbit lover!

An incredible total of £5059.23 has been donated so far to Windwhistle Warren Rabbit Rescue, Gloucestershire from the proceeds of sale of her book. There’s another £180 ready to send, let’s see if we can boost that up a bit in time for Christmas for the rescue bunnies!

I’ve been putting this announcement off, as it’s not what I really want to do, but unfortunately I’ve had to take the decision not to reopen this year as was planned. I do hope to reopen next year, but I’m not going to take any bookings until I’m certain. I will post here as soon as I’m taking bookings again.

I’ll be responding to messages and email enquiries for this year shortly. So sorry to those of you who will be disappointed by the news, it has been a tough decision.

Thanks again to all my customers and I do hope to see you again in the not too distant future.

Hi all

I have some good news and bad news for you all.

The good news is I’m having another baby, the bad news is that means I’ll have to close down in April, possibly for a year.

Anyone with existing bookings will be contacted directly shortly.

Thanks to everyone for all their support and custom over the past 9 years.

I hope to see you and your bunnies next year, and hopefully the pandemic will be long gone by then!

Best wishes

Lauren

Peter rabbit headed home a week ago, and we’ve no more bookings in the diary now until next spring! So we might go quiet on here for a while, but we’re still around in the background!

Hope everyone stays safe and well!
