Hopefully the sunshine will make an appearance again today .. I need it for the washing to dry!

Titus was the first tortoise to stay with us @ the Summer House 🐢🥰

We have space here for larger tortoises like Titus, but if you wanted to bring your own tortoise table/vivarium we have plenty of space for your own setups. This goes for tortoises and other reptiles 🦎🐢

Nanci playing with her new toy! Happy Birthday Nanci! 😻

Meet the feline members of our Cattery family … today it’s Jazz 🩷 Some of you will have been greeted by two of our cats when you come to drop off and collect - Olly is usually ever present (ever hopeful of fusses and treats). He’s been joined more recently in the office by our most senior cat family member who is around for fusses too .. Moppet, now 16, enjoys whiling away her days in her heated bed in the office 🥰 Tommy .. seldom seen around the Cattery apart from when he’s hungry and most definitely not in there when there are people around 😂 you might glance him in passing or sat in one of the borders in the garden but he won’t hang around for a fuss. Unless the person giving fusses is Steve - Tommy’s favourite human 💙 But very few of you will have had the opportunity to meet Jazz 🩷 She’s a feisty little home bird who very rarely ventures outside. When she does go outside she doesn’t go very far and soon comes back in if she hears a noise. She has never been without a collar, bow-tie and bell - if it comes off she brings it to us to put back on 🥰 Jazz came to us at around 8 weeks old having been rescued by a lovely lady who hand reared her. When she came to us she was the size of our sky remote .. she’s now not much smaller than Olly! Her favourite food is raw chicken, closely followed by ham and Dreamies and can hear a pack of these being opened from the other end of the house! She’s the boss of the rest of the gang in the house, sometimes standing at the door refusing to let them inside 😂 Her favourite feline friend was our old boy Mittens who she would lay with and was always somewhere around him when he was inside. Since the loss of Mittens, Jazz has taken to Moppet and is always wanting to be near her when she is inside. Although she’s now 6, Jazz still has a very playful side to her and loves a ping pong ball on the kitchen floor. She also still likes the novelty of chasing her tail 😂 A little video

I think the birds have heard Steve is buying mealworms by the tonne on his Amazon account 🦅 couldn’t believe the noise this morning and how many birds there were.

Another fab Christmas craft afternoon 🎄 This time with Karen of Foxgloves and Lilies at Wingerworth. A lovely afternoon making a Christmas Wreath .. spiced fruit punch, chocolates and mince pies too! 😋
