Welcome to Happy Tails Dog & Cat Rehoming. We have been taking in unwanted animals for many years yet there seems now to be an increasing number of dogs & cats that come into our care. This doesn't mean that they are troublesome or difficult, more often that they are just the result of a change in circumstances. Through no fault of their own they are homeless and need our help! We never know what
sort of dog/cat will arrive - from super cute puppies/kittens of all breeds to stunning pedigrees and quite often, very loving and sedate golden oldies! We assess each animal’s nature whilst it is in our care so we have a good idea of the sort of home it would be best suited to. We like to ask potential new owners many questions so we can find their perfect match! Under cover area with space for seating, shaded areas to cool down and dog drinking station. Solid high fence provides total privacy.

These beautiful tortoiseshell sisters are the most gentle natured girls, with a lot of love to give.
The girls are inseparable and rely on each other in every way.
They are quite shy around new people, however, once they get to know you, they will purr away for fusses in gentle company. ♥️ Because of this an understanding family that will give them time to settle into a new home is a must.

Can you help Susie find a new home?
Susie is an 11 years young, beautiful Saluki x who is in need of a new home.
She has lived in a family home, with one older child, and is good in every way. She is fit and healthy, house trained, calm and relaxed in the house and adores human company, but will equally spend some time alone – especially if there is a sofa available to spread out on! She loves a comfy bed, warm snuggly blankets and, as you can see - slippers!
Susie still has lots of energy and loves a good run but will need an experienced and responsible family who understands sighthound type behaviour (squirrel chasing / selective hearing) and is accepting of her quirks that are with her to stay at this age. She is generally sociable with most dogs (although can be reactive at times when over excited) and may enjoy the company of a compatible companion to share her home with, but could not live with cats. She needs a secure garden and would be ideal for someone who has somewhere secure for her to run.
Susie has so much love to give and will be the best companion ever.

Announcing Tilly 😍😍😍 – absolutely the most adorable, pretty little thing you could ever meet – now needs to find her new forever home.
Tilly is approximately 2-3 years old, and has the sweetest nature. She is a little in between short and long haired - medium fluffy really, so she's not really high maintenance where brushing is concerned ! She has lived with two boy cats for some of her life and gets on well in a group, although equally enjoys spending time alone and loves to explore the great outdoors. She would happily spend the day outside in the garden under a shady bush, watching the birds maybe, then come in for her tea and enjoy an evening cuddled up on the sofa! 😴 She is still quite playful and adores her toys being sprinkled with some catnip! 😻
Tilly has already spent some time in the cattery and has settled in really well, but is now ready to move on. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and all regular treatments are up to date.
She has been used to a quieter home without children, where she could come and go as she pleased, so we are looking for a similar place, where the surrounding area is quiet and safe for her to explore 🙏

Meet cheeky little chap Mocha, looking for his forever home.
He’s your typical adventurous, playful terrier type who isn’t afraid to get dirty or partake in a good game of tug of war. His Chihuahua type looks make him especially handsome! He can be a bit particular about his handling so would need to be in an adult only home with no other pets. He is very loving and enjoys attention but is also sometimes just happy to find a quiet spot to call his own and settle down for a nap. He loves his food and is always awaiting his next meal, meaning bonding and further training would be easily achieved in his new home. Mocha is 8 years old and so is happy to spend some time alone, although we would prefer him to have an adult around for most of his day as he would love the company.
We are aiming to fundraise the costs of some dental work needed for Mocha then he’ll be ready to pack his bags and move in with someone new.

Now this little sweetheart is Coco.
She’s a 6 year old Chihuahua x, quite dainty and absolutely just lives for a cuddle! She will happily fall asleep in your arms for hours, making her the best companion dog ever. She’s a little indecisive when it comes to making new furry friends so would suit a pet free home, with someone who has lots of time to devote to her. She is quite the princess and prefers to keep her feet mud free, so wouldn’t require long, treacherous walks – a few short walks a day with a longer outing at weekends would most likely suit this little queen! Of course she also likes to be wrapped up warm in a designer coat/fluffy jumper if the weather should be cold, wet or snowy !!
Her love for people means we’d ideally like her to have a home where there’s always someone around to give her the love she so much adores.
She does need some dental work which we are hoping to raise funds for, then she’ll be ready to join her new family.

♥️ NOW REHOMED♥️ ✨ Meet the beautiful ‘Winter’ ✨ This poor girl has spent her entire life so far living outside, trying to fend for herself. Sadly, her mother didn’t want her around, meaning she had to become independent quickly. She managed to survive life outside even in the most recent snow and freezing conditions, so we decided to call her Winter!❄️ A concerned family had been putting food out for her but she didn’t trust anyone enough to be caught at first. After much time she eventually gave in and ran inside to get out of the cold. She arrived here scared and bewildered but at least she was in a safe place, and could finally be warm, well fed and out of danger. 🥰 Winter is a very loving cat, and despite her initial lack of trust in humans, she has come on in leaps and bounds over her first few weeks with us. She loves to be stroked and tickled -especially under her chin and will do a funny little dance when she starts to purr! She’s very playful – her favourite toy is the feathers on a stick – her leaping and pouncing skills are second to none – and she will do anything for food. She’s learning all about Dreamies – the best thing in the world she thinks!!! 😋 We think Winter is about 8 to 10 months old, so she will easily adjust to a new life. She would need a fairly quiet home without dogs, although she may like the company of another gentle cat. With her long fluffy hair, she will need someone who is prepared to brush her regularly to keep her looking beautiful. Winter still loves spending time outside so somewhere with a safe, secluded garden would be ideal. At 10 years old they may be senior citizens, but these spritely Jack Russell crosses are still incredibly fit, healthy and active and love to be out walking.
