MB Pet Services offer a range of services to help you take care of your pet whether its a one off or if you need help on a regular basis. For example we can help if your dog needs his day breaking up with walks or visits whilst you are working. We can dog sit if you are out for a few hours and don't want her to be alone. We can stay with your pets overnight if you are away so they can stay in thei

r own familiar environment. We can do pop in visits to feed your hamster or give your cat a bit of TLC. MB Pet Services currently offer:

-Dog walking
-Overnights
-Pet sits
-Pet visits

Clients are able to pick a mix of services to fulfil their needs. MB Pet Services also understand that you might have other requirements If you have anything you need that you cannot see already mentioned or if your not sure what services would suit your needs then let us know. For your peace of mind MB Pet services also have:

-Insurance
-Qualifications to D*D*D* in Level 3 Animal Management (EDEXEL)
-A DBS check (Previously known as a CRB check)
-An Animal first aid certificate
-References
-Experience working with animals (and our own pets)
-Transport with air conditioning and crates kitted out with fleeces or cool mats depending on the time of year for your pets comfort in mind. We have recently updated one of our crates to a crash tested (TUV) one in the rear of our vehicle for additional safety.

3rd day back after my week off and here is a random selection of pictures from recent walks.

I think I've caught up with all the messages I've had from last week and beginning of this week now. During my time "off" I've also been getting the doggy transport all serviced, MOT'd, bought some new equipment such as leads for the dogs, updated my first aid kit and continued looking at new accounting systems.

We now have a new one so I'm still in the process of adding client details to the new invoicing system so hopefully I should have that fully up and running in the next couple of weeks. Thankfully it is similar to the previous one so I don't need to learn an entirely new system. I will let you know once it's ready to go.

I also didn't mention that our first aid certificate was renewed a few weeks ago. It was in the main just a refresher but some methods have been updates since my last course so it's important to redo it regularly! It is available to view for any existing/prospective clients, please just ask.

So this gorgeous pair was one on my recent holiday home visits.
I've had loads of my own birds including budgies over the years so jumped at the chance to look after these two again. I absolutely adore listening to budgies chatter.

Just looking to see how I can alter my schedules accordingly.

Look who came came to join me for another walk earlier last week! It's a cheeky loving spaniel and gorgeous, sweet crossbreed I walked temporarily for another walker a few months ago.
I absolutely loved having them again and one of my regulars couldn't help getting in on the photo.

Never known it to be muddy like this in July.

Hoping the drier weather stays a while but if it could stay a nice steady 18-20-ish that would be appreciated.

We followed this adventure off with a splash in the stream to cool (and clean!) off.

It is that time of year again where all the grass seeds are coming out to play.

I do try to remove them where I can but various factors mean I can't always get all of them, especially if you have a fluffy dog. Please check your dogs after their walks.

A dog walker must always be prepared....

I have my leads specially made for extra practicality and strength. Unfortunately in this case last week it didn't protect me from manufacturing fault where the clip failed in a really random place.

No harm done though as I have 2 clips put on my leads so one end was still attached to the dog and I was able to continue using both ends of the lead as I carry a spare carabiner.

Thank you to Inca for modelling the extra clip for me even though the clip broke on a previous walk that day

How many pants were given? Well not many to be honest.

Looks like some hotter weather is heading our way so just a quick reminder.

Walks may be cut short, swapped for home visits, rearranged or cancelled as appropriate. We will assess the situation by the day and throughout each day as the forecast often changes and often isn't exactly as predicted.
Priority will be given to home alone dogs for midday slots.

We may spend time doing enrichment in the shade instead of walking far if appropriate. Please remember if your dog is part of a group walk then I have to consider all the dogs on the walk, some of them may not cope as well with temperature changes.

Humidity will also be strongly factored in as dogs find it harder to keep themselves cool when it's humid.

MB Pet Services are getting ready for the change in seasons. Hope we haven't jinxed it!
This week we've already done or will be doing the following.

Winter doggy coats washed & put away.

Air con redirected to the back of our transport.

Fans checked to ensure they are working and positioned correctly.

Cooling mats ready for use.

Extra drinking water on board which is refreshed daily.

Ordering a new reflective windscreen cover.

Enjoying a seriously less muddy walking environment..... well some of us are....🙄

Enjoying the 🌞 not too hot, not too cold. 🌞

Yesterday we bumped into Jackie from hooves and paws pet and equine services.
As she only had a smaller group with her and I had just the one dog we had a lovely walk together and everyone was so well behaved.

This super cute girl is learning how to play a new game. My timings aren't great here, she is a super smart girl and tries to guess what I'm going to do next and I am also trying to guess how she will respond to what I do, however the goal isn't perfection, it's having fun. Would you believe this video is from the first time we played this together?
