Summer has finally arrived ☀️
Katie and I are really busy so book ahead!
Super thankful for the air con so the salon is lovely and cool, so not hot dogs or groomers 😆

Here’s Barnaby, he first came to me not loving the whole grooming process and being banned from other groomers, however this week when he came in for his 3rd time with me, he was super chilled, no muzzle, and a general star for his whole groom ⭐️ and isn’t he cute 🥰

Hey everyone 👋

With our 1 year anniversary in our new salon, we have made some treat bags for your doggies to celebrate, these will be available from tomorrow and we will carry them on for the rest of this month 🥳 these are for our regular clients and new ones so please pop in to see us. We have also put some offers in some of the bags, so pick carefully to grab a discount or even a freebie 😀
All treats are from The Pet Pantry so all tasty natural goodies.

Our pack haven’t been best pleased that they weren’t allowed any of the treats 😅 but they will get any left overs. Here they are a few weekends ago when Remi and reeva came over for the day 😇💜

Katie and I had a very Beautiful Belgian Shepherd in today for his first professional groom 🥰
He had some compact bits of hair in places but with 2 groomers working together one was able to brush while the other gave cuddles and reassurance which helped massively 😍

🐾 COCKERPOO’s 🐾 …(or any poodle crosses do be fair!)

Here we Have Bella, Benji, Teddy and Dolly ⭐️

What goes into their Full Groom? And in what order 😀

- nail trim
- 2 shampoos and a condition
- ears cleaned
- towel dry
- blast and blow dry
- brush and comb through
- pads clipped
- hygiene areas tidied
- styled with clippers and scissors
- finished with a bow/bandana
- spritz of perfume

Prices vary as no cross breed is the same! 💰

This is dependent on:
- size
- coat type (curly, wavy, straight?)
- coat condition (matts, knots, shedding?)
- fleas? (Please make us aware of you suspect fleas)
- how long it takes
- how often you visit.

It is essential to introduce your dog to the grooming experience early on (puppy) - especially poodle crosses. They will need grooming for the rest of their lives ✂️

A comfortable dog = happy dog 😄

In our salon we not only provide the grooming service, but also a great social environment too. It’s wonderful watching them all play and get to know our parlour pack 🐶🐶🐶🐶

However, if your dog prefers a quiet salon, with more of a 1 to 1 service, please make us aware and we can arrange a slot where the atmosphere is a lot more chilled ❤️

The salon will now be closed until Monday 11th March as both the girls and I will be up at crufts . We are taking Remi with us as she has qualified and will be shown on the Saturday. Wish us luck as we’re going to need it! 😅

🐾😍🥰 How adorable is 15week old Molly who came in for her first puppy introduction the other week. She was amazing, took everything in her stride . It’s so important that you expose your new puppies to the grooming environment early. This helps them get used to all the sights, sounds and smells of the grooming parlour and will make them more confident and comfortable with being handled when it’s time to groom them.
What’s included in a puppy introduction?:

A good sniff round the salon , letting the puppy explore the environment and building a bond playing with some toys until they are comfortable.
Trim all of the pups nails
A warm bath with our mild puppy shampoo and thoroughly rinse
Towel dry and a cuddle 🥰
Under the stand dryer for fully drying and fluffing
Feet pads trimmed all feet tidied
Hygiene area tidying
More cuddles 🥰
A brush of the coat
Puppy perfume and a bandanna.

A million gold stars for Biscuit today!
The grooming process isn’t his fav, shall we say 🙊 but today he smashed it. The whole groom with only 1 grumble, I will take that 😁 I really think it was due to other dogs in the salon being groomed, having distractions, that really helped him today (and me😅) well done little guy 🌟🌟

If your dog isn’t keen on being groomed or a bit nervous then give us a call, we can discuss whether your pooch would prefer a busier kinda day, with more things going on, to keep their mind occupied during their grooming session, to make it more enjoyable for them, or we can do a quieter day when it’s just 1 groomer in.
We can accommodate to all, with 3 experienced dog groomers (and cat grooming with Katie) using top grooming equipment, gentle, vegan, natural shampoo, and all qualified 😁
