This is a post written from one of the dog walkers I’ve come to know since setting up The Muddy Dog Club. I have become part of a fantastic community of other dog walkers. In this video is just a few of them I now know. There are many more I meet while out walking. They have become work colleagues! They are my dog walking family and I am blessed to have them! Many of you will have used a local dog walker or know one and I’d like to let you know a little secret…. We all know each other! You may think we are in competition and fight for new dogs to walk but that couldn’t be further from the truth. We are friends, colleagues, rescuers, business advisers, key finders, we let each other know when there’s fox poo in a certain area so your dogs don’t come back in a state. We share which areas are busy and where to avoid. If a dog wanders off, we all race to the area to help look. We cheer each other up when we are having a bad day and have WhatsApp groups so we can chat to each other throughout the day. Sometimes it’s random nonsense but when you work on your own it can get lonely, especially in winter. We know some of each other’s dogs as well as we know our own and if a new dog doesn’t work out we know exactly who to pass them on to. Because we know each other’s dogs so well it affects us all when something happens to them. Only last week a dog we all know well was put to sleep. Most of us have never met his owner but we knew him and he knew us. 😢 When you choose a local dog walker please know you haven’t just employed the services of one, you get us all! We are all there for each other and your dog and we will happily go out of our way to help each other and make sure your dog is safe. Even if we don’t know each other well, we will al
