Cindy update - please note Cindy would like to be rehomed with her friend Molly.

Today was my first time meeting Cindy and all I can say is she’s an absolute sweetheart! As soon as I entered her play yard, she immediately approached me for some fuss, she’s a very gentle girl and simply stands there to receive strokes.
Recently we have tried separating Cindy from Molly during the day, just to see if they’d be able to cope being homed apart, this has ultimately led us to decide that they really would love to be rehomed together as they do not cope being separate from each other. We are trying to work on getting them into foster together, but this hasn’t happened as yet.

Since arriving, Cindy has learnt to walk on a lead and does so very well. When Cindy came to us, she was very matted, so she has had a haircut and looks super cute

We have had a female chihuahua handed in at Chichester this morning. She was found in the grass verge by Homebase Chichester last night. She looks to be 8 or older. Please get in touch if she could be yours.

It's that time of the year where a variety of dogs gather in Birmingham for Crufts (7th-10th March). On Friday 8th March, Zara (one of our Chichester Hospital Lead Nurses), her husband and two dogs will be in Hall 3 volunteering on the Pet Blood Bank stand. Both of Zara's own dogs are donors and they will be helping to raise awareness and share their experience of being part of the initiative.

The Pet Blood Bank exists to help save the lives of dogs by providing a blood service for pets - just like the one we have for humans. Every unit of blood helps save up to four lives.

UPDATE: REUNITED 🥰

This afternoon we had this young male GSD brought to us.

Found by Slindon/Fontwell.

He is microchipped but it is unregistered to his owners so proof of ownership will be required.

At this moment he is being cared for and looked after by our dedicated team.

XL Bully dogs cannot be rehomed after 31/12/23, and will be illegal to own without an exemption certificate from 1/2/24. As a result many Bully dogs are being abandoned or placed in rescue. We want more time for owners to rehome or get exemptions, to avoid dogs being euthanised unnecessarily.

February Announcement
As you are aware each year we close for the month of February for our annual holiday period, however this year one of our workers Fin will be offering a dog-sitting service in which he cares for your pet in the comfort of their own home, Sunday through to Thursday for the month of February. He is fully mobile so is able to come and sit in all surrounding areas. Fin has been with us for 8 years, therefore he will be a very familiar face to your dog.
