It’s National Puppy Day – the perfect excuse for a Parsnip update! 🐶 She’s an absolute joy, and our co-founder and senior behaviourist, Miranda, has shared this little update: “Parsnip’s the happiest, most brilliant little puppy I’ve ever had 🥰 “She’s now house-trained and done teething, which I’m thrilled about. She’s doing well with her ongoing training, but she’s obviously not fully trained yet, and she won’t be for a while because she’s only six months old. “So we’re just keeping at it, not thinking that it’s nailed. We’re also keeping up with socialisation – meeting dogs, meeting people, trains, buses – everything she’s going to see in her life. “Overall, I’m just thrilled to bits with her. Sophie spent her first two years as a street dog in Serbia, so settling into life with Kaye wasn’t easy at first, especially as Sophie was Kaye’s first dog. There were plenty of challenges, but just look at them now! They’ve done amazingly well and bring so much joy to each other ❤️ (and to us 😘) Every owner and every dog are different – no two situations are ever the same – and that’s what makes dog training so utterly fascinating and rewarding for us. Supporting Kaye and Sophie with their training has been an absolute pleasure. Kaye’s dedication to Sophie, and their commitment to learning, growing, and having fun together, is so lovely to see. Ollie’s Hoopers demo at Crufts was a huge success! 🐾 Ollie is a King Charles Spaniel rescue dog, owned by Sarah, one of our brilliant Doggy Daycare staff. He’s been learning Hoopers with us here at Sussex County Dog Training since 2020 and he’s part of the Hooperholics group. Hoopers is a low-impact agility sport that’s perfect for so many dogs – it’s: 🐶 Fun 🐶 Gentle 🐶 Great for fitness. Ollie and Sarah had an amazing time at Crufts, helping to raise awareness of this fantastic sport! 🎉 Have you heard of it before? Let us know in the comments!
