Caring for your cats in their own home Katz at Home was established in 2006 and gets busier and busier every year!

I am available 365 days a year and can visit your cats once or twice a day. Your cats staying in their own home is much less stressful for them than going to a cattery, and they are there to greet (or ignore!) you when you return. Please look at the website for much more information. We cover all areas near to Chigwell, Woodford, Buckhurst Hill, Loughton, Debden, Epping, Theydon Bois and Abridge.

😻 PRICE INCREASE 😻

From 1st February 2025 there will be a small increase to our charges to £15 per visit. This is still competitive with other similar businesses out there and is the same whether booking a weekday or the weekend. Bank holidays and the 4 main days over christmas and new year are double time.

🐾 Bookings already made for this year will remain at the old rate.

🐾 Any bookings made this weekend (for February, March, April only) will also be at the old rate of £14 per visit; this is for existing customers only, for springing this on you with no notice. 🙈

Katz at Home is now in its 19th year 😱 and it's you guys, our loyal customers, who have kept us going all these years. For that we are extremely grateful. ♥️

My phone hasn't stopped today, especially this morning; I think everyone has just realised it's Christmas next week!
We are very busy over the next 2-3 weeks 😬 so if you keep meaning to book in, and keep forgetting, please do it as soon as possible. We try not to ever say no, but there are only so many hours in the day. 🙈
If we don't already have your keys you may need to drop them off at Eve's, as we are running out of time for things like that as well.
Thank you as ever for supporting us as you do. It's at this time of year we realise how many customers we have, when you all try to go away in the same 2 week period! 😂😻🐾♥️🐾

I noticed last night on my visits how many fireworks are going off already 😩 and it’s only going to get worse between now and the 6th November ☹️ PLEASE keep your cats in after dark and overnight to help them through, what is for them, an extremely stressful time. There is never a warning when a firework suddenly goes off; it makes me jump sometimes so imagine how a cat feels with their far more sensitive hearing. 🙉 To help keep them calm, close the curtains and turn lights on so the flashes aren’t so obvious, turn the tv or radio up a bit more to drown out the bangs and make sure they have covered, dark places to hide in if they want to. Act normal yourself too, if you seem like you’re worried it will make them worse. Sky TV have created a pop-up channel to help worried pets over the next few days. I think Magic Radio, on their classical channel, also have calming music, along with Classic FM as well. Stay safe everyone, and support your cats as much as you can over this noisy, flashy time of year. 😻🐈🐾🐈‍⬛❤️
