A busy and SUNNY good Friday pressure washing, disinfecting and de cob webbing the yard and stables ready for our new bunch of rehabilitation horses next week 🤩
Relaxation is key 🔑 for an optimum session and optimum long term results.
Here is a fantastic example of a horse today that is 100% straight, relaxed and correct on our FMBS treadmill and this shows just one of the many reasons FMBS therapy systems water treadmill is the worlds leading brand. This guy is tall and only his third time working with us 🤩 FMBS treadmill is longer than average to allow the horse to lower his head and neck allowing even the tallest/ longest of horses to have the space to work in a lovely long and low frame.
Watching this video is just one reason I love my job😍
⭐️ Some principles based on scentific work for you;
⭐️For muscle growth to work in walk is more effective than trot work.
⭐️Training in a aqua trainer must be 25 minutes long to be effective
⭐️Optimim water level for maximum range of motion and muscle production - up to knee joint.
⭐️Tendons will be always cooled and massaged during aqua training work.
⭐️Back muscles are three to four times more burdened and trained during aqua training than leading a horse in hand.
⭐️After 5 times balance will improve
⭐️Horses in a high work load can get gentle training with the water treadmill on their tendons and joints and still be successfully worked (preserve training)

My cob is having a post HOYS holiday after a very busy and successful first show season. Like some others it’s taken a lifetime to get this big girl as strong as she is today, so despite being on her holiday she is continuing her Water Treadmill workouts 2x weekly to keep up her strong physique throughout winter💪🏼 ready to make more dreams happen next season🥳🤞🏼

One of our lovely liveries working incredibly well and relaxed on our water treadmill.
Austin is on rehab from a stifle injury he had operated on earlier on in the year so it’s our job along side working very closely with his owner and her vets to get this horse back up and jumping tracks he was prior to injury.
The water treadmill is an excellent tool for ultimate recovery from stifle injuries as long as built up correctly.
Our team at Tockenham Court Farm take big pride in working with top sports vets(this country and abroad), physios and FMBS systems who have world wide market leading products our water treadmill is not the only product we use of there’s on our rehabilitation liveries.
Our facilities ensure our horses are relaxed and focused when working on the treadmill which ultimately assures all our horses are working as correctly as they should be to reep the full benefits of a water workout.

FMBs Therapy Systems have been in this week and made a good start on the filter room, the electrician has put us up some fabulously bright lights and W Handy Construction gang have done a super smart job cladding the room out, now just for the rubber flooring to be done and we are looking pretty set to go once our treadmill arrives. I am sure to keep you all very much updated and we are hopeful to be up and running commercially by August.
