Meet the team -

Emily joined the team in April 22, having previously been a giraffe keeper at longleat which I’m incredibly jealous of! Emily is a key part of the team, she steps up when Em is off or on holiday, and she seems to have a way of persuading all the smaller fluffier dogs to be her hot water bottle at lunchtime, it might be something to do with the snacks 😝. Emily also takes photos and sends lots of pupdates to our owners each day of their dogs having the best time!

Hi, I’m Emily

TEAM SUPERVISOR

For as long as I can remember I have always had a passion for being around animals. Ever since I was a little girl I had my heart set on being a zoo keeper and after studying animal care at college & gaining work experience working with different animals, I achieved my dream. After working with some incredible species such as giraffe & zebra for many years, I decided a career change was for me. Dogs have always been a favourite animal, growing up around them and having one of my own, Alfie the cocker spaniel! The Country Mutt was the perfect choice for me and I’ve been a part of the team since April 2022. I love getting to know each dog, their personalities, behaviours and their favourite little scratchy spot. I love capturing their day in pictures and always try to get their best angle 📸

In my spare time, you can find me behind a camera, taking pictures of all sorts of animals and landscapes. I have a passion for photography and love capturing the best memories. I enjoy going out to new restaurants and trying different food, usually with my partner and friends!

Meet the Team -

Emilie is our manager, she oversees the day to day running of The Country Mutt, she also makes sure your vaccinations and paperwork is up to date! Em has been invaluable to me since our daughter was born, she is the most fantastic and trust worthy lady and we really couldn’t be without her! She keeps me up to date, and I never worry with Em around. Em was referred to us by another local daycare/boarding because she didn’t want to work weekends! I’m forever grateful our paths crossed.

Hello! I’m Em (Emilie)
TEAM MANAGER

I was born in France and moved to the UK in 2015 where I found my perfect fit volunteering at a doggy day care in Oxfordshire. I soon started working a full time job there.

I’ve now been working at the Country Mutt since June 2021 after moving into the area.
As Manager I oversee the daily running of day care and the wellbeing of the pups and staff, making sure their day is as enjoyable and fun as can be. I love working with dogs and learning their individual language, behaviour and character. To me they are the best companion you could ever have.

Myself, I’ve grown up with dogs. My first being a labrador called Mutsy who loved biscuits as much as I do! In my spare time I enjoy going for walks with my husband and black lab Poppy and watching ice hockey games and enjoying a nice meal out.

First up Pete!

Pete started his apprenticeship at The Country Mutt in 2023, here’s a little bit about him!

Hi im Pete. I grew up in Malmesbury surrounded by dogs, Bedlington terriers, greyhounds, beagles and many other breeds.

I previously worked at events & festivals and in catering but always wanted to work with dogs. They bring contagious joy.

I’m currently studying level 2 animal care qualification and am so grateful to be able to do so at the The Country Mutt.

I love getting to know every dog individually and their different personalities, scratch spots, favorite games and friends! I’m not sure why but I always seem to be the muddiest by the time
I go home!

In my spare time I like to design clothes and make music. I enjoy a nice country walk with my friends. I come from a big family, and have 12!siblings.

⭐️ Doggy daycare spaces available with collection and delivery from Corsham, Chippenham and surrounding villages ⭐️

Welcome to The Country Mutt Dog Day Care Centre based in acres of private farmland just outside Chippenham, only half a mile from junction 17 of the M4 and three miles from Chippenham railway station.

With three secure, enclosed play paddocks, rest area and a large heated indoor play area, there is plenty here for all dogs to enjoy. With constant supervision your dogs will receive all of the exercise, play, love, cuddles, enrichment, stimulation and rests that they need whist you’re working.

Our staff are all DBS checked, K9 first aid trained and hold qualifications in animal care and behavior. We hold a 5 ⭐️ welfare license from Wiltshire council and are insured.

We collect your dogs in the morning in our fully equipped vans and return them to you happy and stimulated at the end of the day.

Dogs are grouped to suit the individual needs and a full assessment of each dog is required prior to acceptance to the day care.

Spaces are taken on a first come first served basis. Please note, we allow adhoc spaces to clients who are already on our books, and their dogs have been assessed and have completed introduction days only.

Prices start from £24plus VAT. Delivery/collection is chargeable depending on location.

We are looking for a passionate, reliable and trustworthy member to join our team!

Qualification in animal care is preferred but more important to be passionate about canine welfare, behavior and training.

Must hold a full UK driving license & be capable and confident of driving a big van.

Hours are 8-5.30 Monday to Friday.

This role is a client facing, dog handler and will hold responsibilities so please do only apply if you feel comfortable and confident in doing so.

Based near Chippenham.

Salary dependent on experience.

Pension and 28day holiday allowance including bank holidays.
