Brinkworth & Bassett Unleashed - Secure Dog Paddock

Brinkworth & Bassett Unleashed - Secure Dog Paddock At Brinkworth & Bassett Unleashed (BABU) we offer an area of approximately 1.5 acres for your dog/s to be offlead to run, sniff & play.

This area is fully secure by a 6 foot fence. We have in-paddock parking & lots to do inside the field... To book a session, please click on the "Sign Up" button. Terms and conditions of use can be found on our booking page under "Privacy notice". Thank you – have a wonderful time at BABU 😊

🐶BABU INFORMATION 🐶

Dear Babu-ers,

WE ARE REOPENING IN FEBRUARY
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

💦 However it is still very wet..

😁 But we have made use of the Babu break..

🪵 The shorter fencing around the car park has been replaced with taller fencing..

😥 Unfortunately we have had issues in the past with people stepping over the fence..
.causing it to sag & at times pulling the fence away from the posts causing the post that locks the larger gate to tilt..

🙏The taller fence should stop that happening now..

🪵The old fencing has been used as a temporary barrier to stop the area by the spa getting too muddy..

🤞We are hoping this will allow it to dry out & the grass to grow again for the summer..

😂 And to help out the ground from those big splashes from the spa when opened..

😥 So unfortunately the spa area and shelter will be out of bounds - apologies..

🚪When we re-open in February, the access from the car park will be through the larger of the two gates by the new taller fence..

☀️We will change back again once things dry up..

IMPORTANT BABU INFORMATION

Dear Babu-ers,

🐶 Our BABU gateways are turning to mud

😥 Therefore we have taken the very difficult decision to close until February

🐶 We are hoping this will allow the ground to recover somewhat

😢 We realise this could cause issues for those customers that may possibly rely on BABU & for that we send our apologies

😔 If any of our regulars are desperate for some enclosed paddock time & are unable to find any elsewhere, please message us & we will take a decision based on the state of the field, as to whether we can book you in

🤞We will continue to monitor the weather & field & hopefully this will be just a temporary blip

😥Due to the amount of rain & sleet/snow overnight & today, we have decided to limit the number of people attending each session (as we did last year) to a maximum of two, to try and protect the field..

☔ Unfortunately it has become wet & muddy in places due to this happening overnight/today, so please bring suitable footwear & towels..

😃 Although the field is fairly mud free

😥The Wash Zone is out of water (as amazingly we have not had much rain)

💦 Please ensure you bring water for your dog to drink if needed

DEEZY'S HILL

As you know Deezy's Hill is not looking it's best..

🐾 Due to the very dry summer, which caused lots of cracks in the hill..

🐾 Due to possibly having a family of mice..

Unfortunately we are still noticing DIGGING on the hill from dogs, causing more holes & making it look worse..

Just because there are cracks already PLEASE DO NOT allow your dogs to dig here further..

😥 THIS IS NOT FAIR ON OTHER BABU USERS OR US AS THE OWNERS 😥

PLEASE keep an eye on your dogs 🙏

We are still considering how we can best FIX Deezy's Hill, as we know how much the dogs love this Babu feature..

Dear Babu-ers,

INFORMATION

The water has been switched off to the Spa now, for Autumn & Winter due to the risk of frost breaking the pipes..

As it's getting wetter, we have also decided to keep Babu's grass on the longer side to help preserve the ground over winter, and hopefully be able to stay open longer 🤞

Deezy's Hill is looking very sorry for itself, due to the dry summer, some digging & possibly a family of mice. We are looking at ways to improve the hill & considering our options 😥
