Each season we do a 5 to follow with our team, we are opening it up to you guys this season. The 5 to follow will run from 1st August until the end of 24/25 season. If you would like to participate, choose your 5 Charlie Longsdon horses in training, and send them to [email protected].

The point system will be 1st = 10 points, 2nd = 5 points and 3rd = 2 points. A tally will be kept throughout the season, and the winner will be announced at the end of the season (prize to be confirmed)!

Entries must be received by 27th July!

Charlie Longsdon Racing are looking for a Travelling Head Person & Work Riders to join our relaxed, friendly National Hunt Racing yard in Oxfordshire.

⭐️ Travelling Head Person:

This role might be suitable for somebody already in a stable staff position that wants more responsibility. Involves driving horses to the races, getting them ready/turning them out to a high standard, leading up etc. It will include stable duties and riding out if preferred. No HGV licence required.

· Shared accommodation available.
· Training for qualifications can be provided.
· Every other weekend and one set afternoon a week off.

⭐️ Work Riders:

This role involves riding out 3 or 4 lots, general yard and stable duties and plenty of opportunities to go racing.

No sponsorship currently available for overseas applications.

Today we celebrate two big birthdays in the team! They make up a century of life experience between the two of them with our loyal landlord and owner Christopher Marriott reaching the big 80, and our ever so excitable Macy turning 20. You’d never know Christpher was at the grand age of 80 the way he rode out this morning!!

And, we mustn’t forget Alan who turns 65 on Sunday!

Team Longsdon

Since starting his training career in 2006, Charlie Longsdon has trained over 500 winners and won over 3 million pounds in prize money including multiple graded and listed races. A familiar face on UK racecourses and racing TV, Charlie is also now starting to look at international events with runners in both America and France in the last 12 months.

Charlie’s focus is on training his charges so they can have a long and successful career. Away from the hustle and bustle of the big training centres, Hull Farm’s 85 stables are set in 450 acres of beautiful Cotswold countryside. They provide the perfect place for horses to be trained in a relaxed environment with the dedicated team ensuring every horse is treated as an individual.

This year the regular improvement of resources has seen the addition of a water treadmill to the already outstanding facilities at Hull Farm. These include a five furlong wood chip gallop, a two furlong all weather circular gallop, an outdoor school and on site schooling. With plenty of off-road hacking around the farm, everything a horse needs to reach their full potential can be found at Hull Farm.
