We’ve been helping pre-schoolers at a local nursery with some techniques to stay safe around dogs.

A lovely (EARLY) morning training session with this cutie. Anyone recognise where we were working?

We've been working on tactics to help with resource guarding (protecting balls, food and humans) from other dogs with some fun games and management techniques.

Haven’t had enough puppy time in my life recently (can you believe when I used to run 3 or 4 classes a week I almost became immune to the puppy effect?!)… so when a friend welcomed a new puppy into her life, had to squeeze in a quick cuddle. ❤️

While I don’t run puppy classes, I do offer a more tailored support - 1:1 so we can work through the specific challenges or goals you have. It cuts out the noise of classes and gets straight to where you need help.

When working on barking behaviour with one dog, you’re usually working on reducing barking for all dogs in a household.

These two were so focussed as we started to unpack the reasons behind Willow’s barking and putting some management strategies in place to support her while we look at reducing her arousal overall.

I had so much fun with the children at Chipping Sodbury Preschool today.
They learnt how to be a “tree” and a “rock” to create safe interactions with dogs. Plus where it’s ok to touch a dog and how best to ask if they can say “hello” to new dogs.

This morning Caroline and “hot dog” (well named by the children) gave a talk to a local pre-school on how to stay safe around new dogs and how important it is to ask before touching dogs you don’t know.

As a KAD Kids Around Dogs approved professional, Caroline wants to help educate future generations to help dogs be better understood and also to reduce the potential for dog bites on children.

This guy bought all his energy and focus to our recall training session today. 🙌

By building a strong connection with his humans and getting the opportunity to do things that feel good for him, we’re aiming to reduce his desire to go find his own adventures on walks.

This is perfect time of year to work on improving your recall as a team, all ready for relaxed and fun summer exploring.

The utterly adorable Lorenzo (I mean look at those eyebrows) - who has quickly learnt that I'm a very good person to arrive at his house! Cue the treats!
