Pawsitive Vet Care was established by Helen in 2018 as a home visiting veterinary practice based in Warwick and covering Coventry and Warwickshire. Her aim was to provide high quality care in a less stressful environment than a traditional veterinary practice. Through the pandemic we offered visits to gardens to provide end of life care initially, and then opened up to other urgent treatments.

Later in 2020 we took on our first member of staff and in 2021 became a limited company and bought our electric ambulance.

The pets and owners of Warwickshire were lovely and really appreciated the service that Pawsitive Vet Care – Home Visit Vet provided; however in 2022 Helen got married and, with her husband being a business owner in Kidderminster (Holmdale Print Limited), decided to close down the home visiting service and move to Worcestershire.

After a break of almost two years, Pawsitive Vet Care has reopened as a bricks-and-mortar practice in Hartlebury, Worcestershire but the ethos of reducing stress as much as possible remains.

Helen is a Fear Free certified vet, and we are aiming for the practice to become one of the first Fear Free certified practices in the UK. All our staff will be required to undergo Fear Free training.

We are also aiming to become a Cat Friendly, Rabbit Friendly and Dog Friendly practice.

"Owned" or "partnered" or "partially true"? Is this the new Vets4Pets approach?

Not just another corporate vets!
Did you know that each Vets4Pets is individually owned by Vets and Nurses? A lot of people believe all Vets4Pets practices are linked and controlled by Vets4Pets, which this is partially true but each separate practice is individually owned and controlled by the vets and nurses you meet in the practice.
Vets4Pets Sittingbourne is owned by our Head Vet Grace, Vet Stevan, and Head Nurse Rachael. Although we are partnered alongside Vets4Pets, the practice is essentially theirs to do as they please.
Vets4Pets head office do handle all of our marketing, payroll, accounting, human relations issues, business advice and support but our practice owners here control the clinical decisions within the practices. Our team are here to ensure your pets get the best possible care ❤️❤️

We are a small, friendly, independent veterinary practice providing equine and small animal care, based in Flawith, near Easingwold, North Yorkshire. We cover a large area around our practice for visits and have excellent inpatient facilities at the surgery.

Our services include consultations and visits, including equine zone visits, equine and small animal health schemes, full surgical and inpatient facilities including stables, radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, gastroscopy, dentistry, surgery, vettings (pre-purchase examinations) and second opinions.

As mentioned previously, we put out the feelers to see how many of you would be interested in our very own puppy parties 🐶

We’ve had fantastic feedback and a few interested, which is great! Thank you for your support 💚

Our first puppy party date is going to be on Saturday 25th January 📆

The party will be a one hour session in the morning. Once booked on, we will contact you with your time slot, as we may offer two sessions depending on numbers 🦮

There is a small fee of £5 per puppy, which is non-refundable, and will be taken upon booking to secure your place 💰

We have been made aware today that someone who goes by the name of Lauren Poole has posted the following on a website called peopleperhour,
"I need someone to go through https://www.independentveterinarypractices.co.uk/table and create a spreadsheet with all the details plus an email address and the address from the website of each veterinary practise [sic]."
If anyone knows who this individual is who is trying to steal a database that we have worked so hard to put together and keep up-to-date, making it free for personal use, we would love you to contact us.

Have a look at Bay Vets' website or their page and you will be surprised to learn that their four practices are all now part of Linnaeus Veterinary Limited whose ultimate parent undertaking is Mars Incorporated for, unbelievably, there is no mention on either of this connection. In fact, on the Bay Vets' website, they state that they are, "…proudly independent…" Be warned! These four practices have now been removed from the Map and Table. You can't state you're independent when you're not.

Milnthorpe LA7 7RH
Morecambe LA4 5TL

Another recent amendment:
Elizabeth Smith Veterinary Practice Ltd - SG18 9BS. For some strange reason this practice appeared in the Table under Consett. I've no idea why! I've now changed it to what the postal town actually is - Biggleswade.

Lastly I've removed Penrose & Partners, Stratford St Mary, CO7 6LW because it has closed.
