The Pigeon Tower at Rivington was open to the public today, so that’s where we went.

We were joined by my daughter and family and Pearl. It was Just gorgeous up there.

Mr Pwp and I then refuelled at Rivington Tea rooms. £12 for 2 breakfasts with tea and toast!!

Old lad Oscar can’t walk far so it was all aboard the chariot to get him to the park.
Bobby likes it in there too so he hitched a ride.
The boys all had a great time. 🥰

Tiger also joined the lunchtime pack with Bobby, Erixs and Milo.
What a brilliant chasing, running and playing time they had.

If anyone is curious as to where we went today, here is a bit of information. Higher Wheelton Aquaduct is Part of the 96 mile Thirlmere Aquaduct taking water from the Lakes to Manchester. More information in the comments.
Amazing.

There is an interesting stone aqueduct that carries the Thirlmere Aqueduct over a small valley near Higher Wheelton. Although the Thirlmere Aqueduct is interesting in itself, this particular structure is quite strange as it has a hollow centre. I’m not sure of the purpose of this other than we mig...

My Half hour boys had great walks, one wetter than the other!

Loki made a guest appearance with Geoff and Chewy. It was very atmospheric on Buckshaw Hill.

Finally Ted and our boys explored a different part of Cuerden for a change.

Little and large for my first walk!

Then popped home to give the boys a carroty snack.

Izzy surprised me by greeting me on the drive. The little tinker. We had a sedate walk on the canal.

The lunchtime group had a mega run around in Cuerden. Everyone getting along nicely.

Finally Ted and the boys joined me and my neighbour for another 2.5 mile mooch.

Bless these darlings for following me on a crazy walk.
I think they loved getting in touch with their wild side.
Milo even flushed a few pheasant.
Izzy had a cuddle pick up when the going got too rough.
Bonny just enjoyed the explore.
I was just happy to find my way back to the car. 🤣🐾
