IMPORTANT REMINDER/INFO

Hi all, just a reminder that this page is used soley for updates for our private hire dog forest and it is not regularly checked for admin (please see the bottom of this post for more info on how to make/reschedule dog forest bookings).

If you are looking to enquire about home boarding, daycare or dog walking services, please get in touch with our main page, Bedlay Gardens - Dog Day Care, Dog Walking & Home Boarding and we will get back to you from there! Our office hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am-6pm and this main page is regularly monitored.

HOW TO MAKE A DOG FOREST BOOKING/RESCHEDULE/CANCEL 🌳🐾

▪️To check availability or book the dog forest, this is automatised through our website www.bedlaygardensdogforest.co.uk! You can book more than one slot, back to back, if you wish to extend your time in the forest.

▪️To reschedule an existing dog forest booking (24 hours notice required), you can do this the "reschedule/cancel appointment" button at the bottom of your confirmation email. Bookings cannot be rescheduled with less then 24 hours notice.

▪️Please note that all dog forest bookings are non-refundable, so if you wish to cancel your booking, you can do this via the "reschedule/cancel appointment" button at the bottom of your confirmation email, but you will not be refunded.

▪️If you have any emergencies whilst you are at the dog forest, call us on 07956301170 or 07958 670328, for immediate help from on site staff!

‼️ If someone is already in the forest during your allocated booking slot or someone attempts to enter into the forest during your slot, please do NOT try to resolve this yourself! We have staff on site 24/7 who are insured to work with dogs (remember many people use the forest with their human-reactive or dog-reactive dog so we will always handle these situations)‼️⚠️

To try and preserve the ground quality and reduce damage to the dog forest by heavy traffic at this time of year, all bookings with immediate effect will now be restricted to a maximum of FOUR DOGS and TWO PEOPLE for the remainder of the wet/winter months. No large group bookings or meet ups will be permitted until after the weather and ground improves. If you have a group booking coming up, we can reschedule to next year or refund it. Apologises for any inconvenience caused.

We have now added a new picnic table, 100L water tank and more grass mats in our beautiful dog forest! It really is such a lovely, private and secure area full of stimulating smells for the dogs to explore. Perfect for meeting up with friends for a catch up with the dogs! ❤️🌲🐾

⚠️ PLEASE CLOSE THE MAIN GATE ⚠️

Hello all, for a short period today our main gate was left open by forest users who failed to close the gate behind them when driving out of the parking area. As a result, subsequent forest users who arrived did not see the 'KEEP GATE CLOSED' sign and continued to leave the gate open unaware.

We cannot stress enough the importance of keeping our main gate CLOSED at all times. We know it can be an inconvenience to get out of the car again and close it after you drive through, but this is ESSENTIAL for the safety of the many dogs within the property and dog day care. The main gate is our last line of defence between the dogs and the busy dual carriageway. Please keep this in mind and ensure the main gate is kept closed at all times!

Bedlay Gardens Dog Forest will not be accepting bookings over the following dates❗

🌿 Mon 20th - Fri 24th March
🌿 Mon 27th - Wed 29th March

We have blocked this time off at the end of March because these weeks are optimal for shrubbery & grass growth in the forest. The reduced foot/paw traffic during this time will allow the shrubs to grow faster and undisturbed! 🌲🍃🍀

Just a heads up to upcoming forest users... please make sure to wear appropriate footwear when using the forest. The wet winter weather has made the ground very muddy so your dogs paws will likely be covered by the end of the session for the next few weeks until the weather warms a little. We dont have an outdoor tap available for the public yet (although we intend to add one in the car park in the future), so in the meantime we recommend you bring some towels and/or a change of footwear so your car doesn't get too dirty. It may also be wise to cover small long haired/fluffy dogs with an equafleece/onesie if you don't want to them to get too muddy 🐾

We do have grass mats, paths and shelter available so that owners can choose not to walk in muddy areas if they'd rather not ❤

We can't wait til spring when the leaves fill the trees and the forest floor turns green... everything comes back to life! 🌲

Now there's a cosy place for dog owners to hide from the wind & rain whilst your dogs explore the forest! 🌧❄☂️

The builders will be back soon to install some integrated seating inside the shelter, as well as some coat racks, an elevated dog bowl stand, and shelves for water, dog toys, poo bags! We're getting there! ❤🌲🐾
