Quick question to the local community!

Since Ultimutt Workshops is a CIC, I’m currently thinking of ways to include the local community in my activities and wanted to hear suggestions or ideas that you might have. I have a couple of suggestions below, but I’d love to hear any ideas from you guys.

🐩 Would you like a weekly/biweekly Doggy Q&A section on this page? Where I could put up a Q&A post asking for questions and sit on the page for an hour answering any questions. Questions could be about: Dog trivia, behaviour, training, anthrozoology (dog focused) or anything dog related, and I would do my best to answer them.

🐕 I’ve also booked the next date for 2024’s Canine Community Day: May 11th 13:30-15:30 in Chudleigh Town Hall. I’m saving an improved version of the dog behaviour presentation from the last community evening for a charity/fundraising night, but I’m happy and open for suggestions of anything dog related. I’m aiming to have 3-4 ideas in the next couple of weeks and put out a vote near the end of the month.

Hi Guys,

🎉Thanks to everyone who came to our first Hound Day Hullaballoo. Here’s one of Cooper’s photographs from the event, with more to come! 🎉

On the 28th July 18:30-20:30, we’re back down in PawPrints for some Loose-lead Training with 3 spaces remaining.

I’ve distilled my 6 years of studying and training dogs into 3 big tips that will turn your ‘lead lugging labradoodle’ into an ‘perfect promenading pup’.

• Learn about dog training in a casual environment with tea and coffee provided.

• Meet people with the same problem as you.

• Learn from someone who has made all the mistakes, so you can skip them!

This workshop is for everyone at any stage of recall, from to dogs with zero recall ability to others who just need some shining.

Hound day Hullabaloo is less than a week away, doesn’t time move fast?

Rain might be forecast, but that isn’t going to stop us on Friday. Especially since we’ll be in Pawprints Hazelmere Farm’s fantastic in-door Dog Training Centre!

Come in from the rain, grab a cupcake and get your favorite pupper photographed. You can learn more about Ultimutt Workshops and get a sneak peek of our upcoming talk: Reading Dog Body Language!

We will also be having a sniff-off, so register your best sniffer when you arrive to win a prize.

Mingle with doggy folks and feel free to ask me questions.

Please make sure your dog is happy to be in an environment with groups of people.

On our last walk, Evie and I found a mutated dandelion that looks like 5 dandelions fused together! I thought it looked cool, but I think Evie just wanted to go home and nap...
