A rearranged session at The Bog this morning, Spaniels and a Collie, trying to outwit them with my trail laying proved pointless with this group of superstars, the location was quite difficult to trail with very tufty grass and the odd hole that liked to appear.
Finished off with trailing my dogs Gunner and Dave and Irene Gill’s Spaniel Isla, Dave and Isla are both quite timid but since we have started trailing them their confidence has really improved.

Todays trailing was urban in mostly lovely sunshine, we had a lot of environmental contamination to deal with , heavy traffic , trains, dogs and humans, all dogs coped really well with some lovely indications, the last couple of trails had a swirly wind to contend with but the dogs managed to battle through it, a really enjoyable session. My phone died half way through so only photos of the first trails.

Longer Trails day
Today was quite a tough session for the dogs, trails were long with a lot of very tempting distractions, lambs, wild ponies and other barky dogs. Scent wasn’t easy to follow as it was very open and contaminated with exciting smells, but the sun shone and as usual the dogs and handlers worked really hard and it paid off , some very rewarding trails that everyone should be proud of.

No trailing this week due to dog injuries and illnesses but I got to trail my own dogs ,Gunner and Dave, in perfect weather! Gunner is quite experienced now so he has had a blast doing one of his favourite activities. Dave is a complete novice , he is quite nervous out of his own environment but after two sessions with the help of Cae Brics Trailing his confidence is starting to grow, following the trail of the lady that has his pot of food is too tempting for a hungry Labrador 😋
