Let’s talk Liver…

5% of your dog’s diet should consist of liver, So, what makes Liver so good?

Liver is one of the worlds most nutritionally dense foods, far more so than the same amount of red meat. So, what are the main benefits?
• Rich in vitamin A – This helps with vision, immune function, reproduction and skin health
• It plays a fundamental role in immunoglobin reproduction
• Rich in vitamin B – B2, B9 & B12
• B vitamins help to support the nervous system, brain function & blood cell production.
• These B vitamins are also particularly helpful in supporting dogs that suffer with stress and anxiety
• B12 also helps dogs that suffer with chronic gut issues – such as IBD
• Zinc – a powerful antioxidant that helps to fight oxidative stress
• Good levels of zinc are needed to support immune health, the nervous system & skin health – making it great for dogs with allergies, anxiety and some other behavioural issues
