Yard help please

Looking for friendly, reliable yard help for Monday morning and afternoon! Looking for either one or two people (18 and over) to work approx 3 hours Monday morning and 2-3 hours afternoon. General yard duties on nice friendly yard. Need to have experience as you will be responsible for the yard that day. Plenty of training before you will be left on your own. I’ve just had a look at my previous advert and thought how ruddy boring! So I've decided to write a real livery advert!
We have over 30 years of experience with horses including hunt liveries, rehab, competition and leisure horses.

The Yard
Located just outside of Cirencester is Woodland Barn Livery. We are a friendly compact yard of 15 horses. We are not trying to be Olympic riders but offer a professional, friendly and dedicated service. In a nutshell we like taking care of horses! We love the mucking out and general every day routine. Lets be honest this industry is not going to make us millionaires so we do it for the love of it.

The Stables
Our stables are clean and well maintained. They were built with the horses mental welfare in mind so they can see each other and interact. Good ventilation so minimum dust and damp.

The Fields
Land in the Cotswolds costs a fortune so no I don’t have acres for horses to roam but we do poo pick daily, harrow, roll, seed and fertilise fields so your horse gets the best nutrition we can offer. The perimeter fences are securely fenced and painted to maintain the quality. We want it to look presentable to you. Other fences are post and tidy electric fencing all on batteries to make sure your horses are safe and secure.

Facilities
We have a very well maintained 20x40m arena that does not freeze. It might not be Olympic size but it does the job all year round. We have show jumps for people to use and plenty of poles etc The horse walker is there for extra exercise or vital leg stretching. In the summer we have a jump field which is great fun for some grass practice and the odd barrel jumping or cross country skinny!

Hacking
You have to hack on a road but you have some beautiful rides and places to gallop. We love the ride to the coffee shop for a much needed coffee and cinnamon bun for the horses! Also a cheeky pub ride for a Guinness! Hacking is what you make it!

Staff
We are a professional, friendly, hard working team. We want to do all we can for your horse and yourselves. We really do care! We don’t mind what you do with your horse as long as they are happy, well and you enjoy it! I can’t stress that enough! It’s about enjoyment. We are honest and will tell you if we feel your horse is not right, or that there is something we think you should be aware of but that’s us doing our job. If you need a hand or lacking confidence we want to help and support you.

Clients
You need to be kind and respectful. We know that it takes a lot to trust people with your loved animals and we aim to prove you can trust us. You need to enjoy it and come here to spend time doing what you love. Please remember it is a yard and everyone is equal.

Horses
We will tolerate a rude horse but not a rude client! We have all shapes and sizes, temperaments and characters – we love them for who they are. We have years of experience with all types and can manage their quirks.

So come and have a look around our lovely welcoming, wonderfully quiet little yard.
