"Following on from the CMA published report The Sidings Veterinary Practice welcomes the formal market investigation announcement. We would like to reassure all of our clients that we are not part of any of the large corporate groups which the report names and remain committed to being an independent veterinary practice. Full estimates of treatment costs have, and always will be, provided when required or requested.

The CMA has today published its main concerns following an initial review into the veterinary sector.

Today we say farewell to Jess.

Many of you will have met Jess during her time here with us at The Sidings over the past couple of years.
Jess has helped many pets along with their owners and always with a smile on her face.

A farewell from Patrick!

As most of you will know by now, my time working at The Sidings Veterinary Surgery has come to a close. I have treated very many of your pets over the past 24 years, got to know many of you very well, and shared the joy and also sadness of caring for our four-legged companions.

I am very pleased to have worked with veterinary colleagues from the neighbouring independent practice, The George Veterinary Group, over the past nine months, in order to have achieved as smooth a hand over as possible. This has been very successful, and I am happy that, as I retire, I know that you and your pets will be very well looked after by them, as well, of course, by the vets you've known for many years - Di Wilson, Anna Philpott and Amber Batson. The Sidings team remains - Jackie and Alison in Reception, and Registered Veterinary Nurses Jo, Katherine, Georgina and Danni.

The George shares the values I hold dear - caring, compassion and integrity- when seeking to help our patients and their carers. I am delighted that their Veterinary Hospital is available for the treatment of emergency cases 24/7, and is able to hospital patients that need more intensive care.

Thank you for all the expressions of gratitude I have received at this time, and in the past. I shall miss you all.

This is a full time position that may lead to a trainee veterinary nurse placement in the near future. Veterinary experience preferred but not essential.

We have received these incredibly kind words from a long standing client of ours, who sadly had to say goodbye to their beloved dog Holly.

Holly was the light of our lives and the centre of our universe; she brought joy to so many people both in Cirencester and further afield and we are struggling to come to terms with her loss. One thing that has remained consistent throughout is the care, kindness and compassion shown to us by every member of the team at the practice. ‘

We have received these wonderful words from one of our clients - It means a great deal to us to know that despite the sad nature of our visit, we were able to provide some comfort to Joe's owners. We send our deepest condolences to Joe's family.

‘I am so pleased that after 17 ½ happy years, being a loyal cat, Joe was put to sleep gently at home in the most peaceful way, still in his bed!

Thank you so much for this wonderful service, such a kind way to end the life of one of our dearest members of the family.
