When hanging out with your horses still makes you this excited every day 🤍

This last week it feels like autumn really has arrived with beautiful crisp mornings but also wetter fields (anyone else still have PTSD from last winter’s mid?!) and some delicate horses that need some extra TLC as the seasons change. That being said, I do like to get the nice quarter sheets out and freshly clipped horses gleaming in the occasional sunshine.

Such a lovely interview in H&H with Liz about her absolute delight of an ex-racehorse Vegas Boy, after they only went and won a national title having just embarked on their BD journey.

Consistent and positive training always works, regardless of the horse and rider’s background, and I’m very proud to have played a small part in their success.

Can’t wait to see what’s next for these two!

… following on from the great feedback from the ‘scales of training’ polework I’ve now added some more dates:

🦄 Saturday 25th May : focus on rhythm
🦄 Sunday 9th June : focus on transitions
🦄 Saturday 29th June : focus on accuracy

All super relevant regardless of what discipline you do!

Hi everyone!
After much deliberation I have decided to change the pricing structure for all lessons.

From 1st June onwards, the following will apply for all 45 min lessons at my yard GL76QA:

🚶🏻 Pay As You Go: £55/ session

Monthly Memberships:

2️⃣ 2 sessions per month: £50/ session
3️⃣ 3 sessions per month: £50/ session AND 1x test ride analysis OR 10 mins home training video analysis
4️⃣ 4 sessions per month: £45/ session AND 2x test ride analysis OR 20 mins home training video analysis

Block bookings of 10 sessions: £450 (£45/ session), to be used within 5 months.

T’s & C’s
🥕 All lessons/ blocks are to be prepaid to confirm the booking.
🥕 Mileage will apply for lessons elsewhere
🥕If you cancel with more than 24hrs notice then we can reschedule within a week
🥕Cancellations with less than 24hrs notice are lost

❤️ M for Magical Mumble ❤️

Super proud to have finished 9th in a humongous Grand Prix class yesterday at Addington Premier League. A nice score of 66.8% for a clean test with more self carriage and expression needed for next time!

Thank you to everyone who helps but most of all thank you to Mumble who is my rock and who continues to give me opportunities like this, without even breaking a sweat.

He really is the coolest kid in town.

Whilst we wait for longer and sunnier days I’d love to hear your opinions on what kind of lesson setup, clinics and events you’d be interested in for 2024.

Here are some suggestions; let me know how they sound?

🐎’Open training’ where I ride a selection of horses and we assess the horse’s strength and weaknesses and suitable exercises

🐎 Summer camps/ boot camps with intensive training and a social element (accommodation available for horse and rider)

Dear clients

🏃🏽‍♀️ 💨 I am finding myself increasingly busy with more horses to train and more clients to coach. The seasons are also changing and with that, there are less daylight hours to get everything done in.

🖊 I also spend (too) large an amount of time doing admin; in particular rearranging lesson dates and nudging for payments.

⏰ This means less effective days and wasted time when lessons are moved or cancelled last minute, with fewer available lesson slots and less scheduling and travel flexibility.

💴 That’s why going forwards, I kindly ask for all lessons (and clipping) to be prepaid at the time of booking.

📝 Next time you book your lesson (or clip) and receive confirmation of the time/ date, please pay for the service.

📆 If a lesson (or clip) is cancelled less than 7 days before the day of the lesson, a 50% refund will be given.
If a lesson is cancelled less than 24 hours before the lesson, no refund will be given.
Whenever possible, I will try and reschedule within a week, however please be mindful that this may not always be possible.

❄️ If dangerous conditions exist such as severe weather warnings or thunder storms, making it unsafe to ride, then rescheduling to the next suitable date will of course take place.

🚘 Please note that travel charges may still apply in case of lessons cancelled within 24 hrs, to avoid this cost being passed on to other clients on route.

👌🏼 The benefit for everyone is that I can continue with the same volume of clients, whilst offering better lesson availability, and maintain the current flexibility in travelling to your yards.
