Well… we WERE all set for the first show of the year tomorrow, but the pretty frost also meant professor Mumbledore got a tickly throat!
He’s like a delicate orchid yet still had the energy to nearly pull me over whilst attempting to lunge him today. Feeling fresssssh 🐎 💨

We shall improve our zig zag and transitions for another few weeks before our next outing.

A big high five to everyone who’s made it with their sanity intact until mid January - spring is, more or less, just around the corner.

Great to see lots of new and old (young) faces to the pole clinic today, and we were even graced with a bit of sunshine.

Quick afternoon trip to for a restorative hot chocolate (the bestest!) before binge watching the last episodes of THE greatest tv show ever, Yellowstone, ready for the latest season being released tomorrow. If no one sees me all day it’s because I’ll start watching it at 8am and not leave the sofa until I’m done. IYKYK.

When hanging out with your horses still makes you this excited every day 🤍

This last week it feels like autumn really has arrived with beautiful crisp mornings but also wetter fields (anyone else still have PTSD from last winter’s mid?!) and some delicate horses that need some extra TLC as the seasons change. That being said, I do like to get the nice quarter sheets out and freshly clipped horses gleaming in the occasional sunshine.

Such a lovely interview in H&H with Liz about her absolute delight of an ex-racehorse Vegas Boy, after they only went and won a national title having just embarked on their BD journey.

Consistent and positive training always works, regardless of the horse and rider’s background, and I’m very proud to have played a small part in their success.

Can’t wait to see what’s next for these two!
