🔥 It’s sooo hot today!!! 🔥

With the weather reaching highs of 26 c (or possibly higher!) this week we urge all our lovely supporters to er on the side of caution to prevent heat stroke in our pets!

We are proud to be a part of the coalition along with other animal charities, including the RSPCA, where our aim is to raise awareness on the dangers of walking our pets in the hot weather, and leaving them in hot cars.

We’ve had a lovely pulsate on our Duddles enjoying the zoomies on the beach! Perfect for all that terrier energy!

Roxy is feeling and looking so much better as the days go on but her road to recovery is still ongoing.

And with many other boys and girls in our care too, we are in urgent need of supplies-specifically wet dog food and treats.

🐾 Road to Recovery for Roxy 🐾

Please say a big hello to this beautiful soul. We’re sorry if any of our readers find this post and photos distressing- sadly, this poor girl has had to live with this reality 💔

Roxy came to us emaciated-you could see all of her bones and ribs, she lacked muscle and strength and had sores on her skin. She weighed just 30kg on arrival-a far cry from the expected weight of a healthy Dogue de Bordeaux.

Whilst Roxy’s road to full recovery may take some time, she’s already making huge progress and her days of starvation are behind her. With the help of her dedicated human friends here and a tailored feeding regime, Roxy is gaining a good amount of weight and feeling healthier and happier as each day goes by 🐾

💔 Unfortunately, in recent years we’ve seen a rise in cases of animal abuse and neglect come through our doors, that were previously and more traditionally taken on by other larger organisations with more resources. The number of animals needing extra care each year is increasing and we need your help 💔

As for our Rox, despite all that she has been through, this girls spirit shines! ☀️ She is so incredibly affectionate-loving nothing more than curling up on the sofa next to you and resting her big ol’ chops on your lap! ♥️ She has a cheeky and mischievous side and her playful nature is really developing as she’s discovered a love of toys.

Life hasn’t been great for this lady-but all of that is set to change! And someone is going to be so very lucky to call Roxy part of their family 💞🏡

We’re seeking a loving, understanding forever home for Roxy. As Roxy still has some way to go to full health, we will be seeking to support Roxy’s new family through fostering with intent to adopt. 🐶 Meet Sandy 🐶

Sandy is a 2 and a half year old Whippet cross on the hunt for a home! He was found as a stray, so not much is known about his past, but he's a very sweet boy - a real gentle soul!

He can get a little worried sometimes, but gets lots of encouragement from people so he’s growing in confidence! He also loves a good snuggle 🥰

Pop in and see us on Wednesday 26th June and we’ll scan your cat or dog (it’s also a legal requirement for dogs) for free ! If your pet is chipped, we can check the details for you and provide you with advice on how to ensure everything is up to date!

A far cry from the thin, bald, neglected girl she was when she first came to us, Sally has blossomed into a truly beautiful girl with a luscious coat and gorgeous temperament.

🙏 We had a fantastic week last week celebrating and recruiting much valued volunteers!

is officially over, but our thanks is all year round for the wonderful people that tirelessly support us and give the animals in our care their time!

Happy Fri-yay from some of our beautiful woofs! 🐾

Life is busy busy here in kennels and, as such, we are in real need of some essential supplies!

Following the arrival of Roxy and her appeal for help on her road to recovery, we are so incredibly grateful to all of our supporters who have purchased food and donated to the appeal 💙

With lots of boys and girls coming through our doors, we’re still in need of donations of wet food, large blankets and dog treats. If you’re in a position to help, this week we’re most in need of:

🐾 Butchers and Chappie tins of dog food
🐶 Wet food trays such as forthglade, Harrington’s etc
🐾 Large blankets (we are ok for all other types of bedding at the moment including soft beds but desperately need larger blankets)
🐶 Tins of hot dogs
🐾 Cheese
🐶 Treats- packets of small treats, training treats, things such as meaty strips which can be split into smaller bite size treats
