Part and Full Livery available, based in Clay Cross, Chesterfield🐴

3 Stables available 1 indoor and 2 outdoor stables.

Part Livery (4- 6 days a week starting from £72 a week)
-Daily routine to keep your horses happy
-Full daily muck out, making nets & feeds up etc
-Skipping stables out, if come in early or on box rest.
-Rug changes, turn out and bring in 7 days a week (individual paddocks)
-Skipping fields out and field waters
-Holding for Farrier, dentist, vet if required
-Hay, haylage, straw and shavings. Not included but available to buy on site.
-Price includes yard worming programme

Full livery (7 days all year round from £107 a week)
-Daily routine to keep your horses happy
-Hay or haylage and straw or simbed shavings included.
-Full daily muck out & making nets & feeds up etc
-Skipping stables out, if come in early or on box rest.
-Rug changes, Turn out and bring in (individual paddocks)
-Skipping fields out and field waters
-Holding for Farrier, dentist, vet if required
-Price includes yard worming programme

Winter turnout throughout the day, roughly 6-7 hours a day depending on weather.

24/7 turnout available in the summer or can still come in overnight.

All of the horses get atleast 6-7 hours out daily throughout winter, even when the weather is bad we still get them out even if it’s just for a few hours!

Equine Groom Apprenticeship Vacancy!

We are looking for an apprentice to join our team, working on our friendly part and full livery yard. We have 18 horses currently on part and full livery. Must be reliable, enthusiastic and have some experience with horses. Would suit a school/college leaver looking to get into the equine industry.

Apprenticeship through Stubbing Court Training, rated outstanding with ofsted! Variety of modules within the portfolio for the apprentice to work towards to gain their qualification. And lots of opportunities for the apprentice masterclasses, winning ways seminars & helping out at Chatsworth horse trails!

30 hours a week, general yard duties to include turning out/bringing in, rug changes, mucking out on straw and shavings beds, skipping out, haynets, making feeds, skipping fields out, waters & general keeping the yard tidy. Grooming, lunging, learning yard and field maintenance, individual care & health of each horse, and working through all the modules on the job with lots of support available from employer and Stubbing Court Training.

Tara is such a pretty mare 🥰 we offer 24/7 turnout during summer months, or can still come in overnight if the horses and their owners prefer that.

Full clip with legs on and half face for the lovely Cleo, she holds onto her coat more than others due to being a older horse. She will be feeling a lot more comfortable now 😄

Grace has had laminitis in the past, we work closely with her owner to manage her weight and to make sure she doesn’t get too much grass. Managing her grass intake by wearing a grazing muzzle and also strip grazing her paddock, we have slowly upped her time out in the field monitoring her closely. When she’s not in the field she goes in the rubber turnout paddocks, with soaked hay. And in overnight all of her hay is weighed out, and she also has some straw mixed in meaning she can have more to eat without the extra calories. All of her nets are soaked for as long as possible, to make sure we are getting as much sugar out as possible.
