from stock, dispatched from our shop and warehouse in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire. We are a fifth generation family run business that started trading in 1855 from our town centre site in Cleckheaton. In August 2008 the decision was taken to relocate to our current 11,500sqft store and warehouse to allow us to stock an even greater range of products to supply our customers. Our current store and web dispatch is still located in Cleckheaton less than a mile from our old town centre site. We feel that the years of experience in the service industry has allowed us to offer a level of customer service that is second to none. We pride ourselves on being able to address our customers needs efficiently and due to us also having a bricks and mortar store we are able to dispatch orders from stock reducing the time customers are waiting to receive their orders. 💥 Remember Remember the 5th of November 💥

Whilst we are all busy enjoying the bonfires, fireworks and the bonfire night treats it is important we remember our 4 legged family members! Here are a few of our tips to help your pet cope with the fireworks!

🔥 Walk your dogs early to avoid being outside when the fireworks start
🔥 Keep your cats inside - if they enjoy wandering it could be worthwhile keeping them inside over the festivities to ensure they are in before the fireworks start
🔥 Close windows, curtains and blinds
🔥 Turn up the radio or TV and help mask the loud bangs and crackles of fireworks
🔥 Consider bringing your rabbit/guinea pig cages inside
🔥 Give rabbits/ Guinea-pigs extra bedding so they can hide if they are scared
🔥 If possible stay at home to reassure your pets and make sure they are ok
🔥 A toy can help distract your pet. A treat stuffed toy is an excellent way to keep your pets occupied and distracted.

💥 Remember Remember the 5th of November 💥

Fireworks can pose challenges for many horses. Their fright and flight instict in response to loud noises and bright flashes makes them view fireworks as a potential threat, leading even the most composed animals to feel anxious and stressed.

Make sure you are prepared as Bonfire Night approaches, here are our top tips;

🧨 Make sure your stable and/or field is safe and the surrounding boundary is secure, so if your horse does become spooked they cannot come to any harm.
🧨Try to keep to their routine as much as possible.
🧨 Play soothing music to try mask the sound of the fireworks.
🧨 Introducing a calming supplement may also benefit your horse. Some horse ‘calmers’ have a fairly instant effect, while others need to be fed over a period of time to have a noticeable effect.
🧨Alongside plenty of forage, give your horse some toys to play with. Not only do these take their focus off the fireworks, but they help to boost stimulation and engagement.
