Exciting news

We would like to welcome to our expanding team Nicola who will be gaining hands on experience one Saturday every month to go alongside her qualification

We are after short haired breeds that would love to have a spa experience (bath, blow dry, nails clipped, ears cleaned and a good brush out/deshed) or any small/medium long coated breed that would love a bath blow dry and brush out.

This will be done at a discounted rate. Nicola will be alongside myself and cannot wait to meet you all

We have had a very high amount of matted dogs in recently 😢

Poodle crosses are a very high maintenance breed and require a lot of work to stop matting from happening
These breeds are a mixture of 2 coats which is why they are particularly difficult to keep tangle free, you will need to spend time going through the coat with a slicker brush and metal comb everyday to prevent matting

Winter months when the coat is getting wet and muddy makes it more difficult.
Coats, Harnesses and collars can rub which can cause tangles

It can sometimes be hard to notice matting as it occurs close to the skin
Make sure you use a comb. It is the most vital piece of equipment for a doodle owner.

Once matting has occurred at the skin there is usually no way that we as groomers can remove it other than to clip underneath the matting which results in a very short clip

It’s something we HATE to do and are usually slated for it but we only have the best interests of your dogs welfare at heart and your dog will feel much more comfortable afterwards

Sorry for the long winded post but we love your dogs as much as you do and would love to educate you on how to get the best groom for your pooch from us as groomers ❤️🐾

As well as us both being individually insured we are also up to date with first aid training if an accident should happen or your pet should become Ill during grooming
