🐎HAVE A GO SIDE SADDLE CLINIC 🐎

Have you ever wanted to try riding side saddle

Now is your chance! Rachael Forkings is a fully qualified, and insured side saddle Instructor who will be joining us at High House Equestrian on 23rd August

Rachael has competed side saddle at National level, winning many championship Titles including rider of the year, working hunter champion , Royal Welsh , Royal Three Counties , and many Supreme Championship through the country . She also regularly hunts and jumps side saddle and you can often see her popping hedges too!

Here's what to expect:
1 hour private lesson with Rachael, teaching you the ropes.
A side saddle will be fitted and provided for your horse for the lesson.

Rachael also has a child's side saddle , so can now cater for Tiny tots also.

Cost :
£50 per person for Adults, to include an hour's individual lesson, saddle provided, and use of the arena.

Children £30 private half an hour lesson, saddle included & arena hire.

To secure your space, payment must be made in full at the time of booking. Cancellation policy applies!

Please note -
Wear plain boots without buckles or emblems on the outside as they mark the saddle. Jodhpurs boots with long socks are suitable.

🔔Livery spaces available - due to one of our lovely liveries taking their 4 legged friends back home!

🐴Come and join our livery yard which offers all year individual turn out (must be stabled overnight during winter). Beautiful facilities, including large monarch stables, undercover walker, 60x30 arena, lunge pen, loads of hacking, coach on site and a warm welcoming yard of friendly liveries.

🔹Assisted livery only (monday-friday), possibility of additional extras on request.

🐴High House Equestrian Camp 2024🦄

Everything you need to know...

🔸We will be holding 3 camps, suited to different age groups.
🔸Spaces are limited to 6, so book quickly.
🔸All sessions taught by our own Emma Stallibrass BHS Stage 3 Coach.
🔸Must be able to Walk, Trot, Canter off lead rein and jump 40cm as a minimum.
🔸You must be comfortable riding on grass as well as in the arena.
🔸6 ridden sessions over the 3 days
🔸£125, hot/cold drinks and biscuits included.
🔸Day camp only, all horses and riders must go home at the end of the day.
🔸Deposit required to hold you space - £50 non refundable.

Please bear the below road closures in mind if you are visiting us from today -

Welsh Water **Newport Street Update – April 2024***

From the 22nd April our construction work will start on Newport Street (working area highlighted in red below). We will initially be on site for a three-week period with the team working seven days a week. Our working window, as agreed by the local authorities, will be between 1pm and 8pm with a road closure in place.

We will not be working along Newport Street from the 10th May to the 9th June whilst the town celebrates the Hay Festival and HowTheLightGetsIn Festival. Work will recommence on the 10th June and as long as we are not faced with any unforeseen delays, we will complete Newport Street by the beginning of July.

A clear diversion route will be set up for the duration of the work.

Please note that the diversion route will be manned during the working hours. Outside of the working hours, all vehicles will have access into Newport Street.

Nantyglasdwr lane will be closed for the duration of the work. Access will be available for residents only from Hardwicke Road side with a hard closure on Newport Street side.

There will be no access for HGV vehicles into Newport Street during this time as the diversion route will only support lighter vehicles. We will continue to work with the businesses in the area to make sure deliveries can be made.
