We said Toodle pip to Salty on Friday evening, she had a nasty bout of lungworm but after lots of TLC and appropriate medication, she has gone back to Lydia who found, her… happy ending 💞🦔

Here is Dean who came in from Blackburn Vets and brought by the lovely caring Vet Tullia Emmanuel 💞
He’s very chesty and not eating, on antibiotics and regular nebuliser sessions. He’s a very poorly hog but alert so we are hopeful. X

I could cry….
Every rescue I know and work with will understand…
When you get a call/message to take a hedgehog in and you can, only then to be told they will keep it overnight themselves or bring it late tonight (when I’m out)…. Protected Endangered animals, yet no one is ever held to account…. Clitheroe Vets/rescues you may get a message tomorrow from someone if the hog survives…

A busy 24 hours, with 4 baby admissions… Foggy, Amos and Nora came in from Clitheroe by Dave Roberts (thank you) for your kind attention and communication. Starving (all under 100g) but now have full bellies💞 A welcome to Joss who was found by Ellie from the Freemasons at Wiswell, 149g, had some food and settled asleep now… stay tuned for their progress ❤️❤️❤️❤️🦔🦔🦔🦔

Oh Glinda… what a challenge you have been.. but in a good way! Glinda came to us around Halloween (hence the good witch of the North), loosing all her fur and prickles to Mange and Ringworm, on top of that she had Lungworm too… many months of medication, daily massages of special cream, lots of patience and love, to reach the best day ever on Friday - appropriate for a little Witchetty Hog to be released on the summer solstice 💞🦔 Thanks to everyone who has cared along the way, you know who you are ❤️
It’s taken forever for her to get well and grow her prickles to keep her safe… live a long and happy life in your beautiful wilderness Glinda 😘 bye little one ###
