The Run Free fields are great for dogs of all ages. Today we’re looking at why our fields are perfect for golden oldies!

Just because your dog is getting older doesn’t mean they don’t love their adventures! Our Run Free enclosed dog fields provide a safe, gentle, and enriching space for senior dogs to enjoy at their own pace. Here’s why the Run Free fields are the best choice for your older dog.

• Peaceful & private
Some senior dogs prefer quiet walks over energetic play, and our secluded fields give them a stress-free space to explore.
• Safe & secure
Our enclosed fences ensure your dog can wander safely, even if their sight or hearing isn’t what it used to be.
• Gentle exercise
Whether they enjoy a slow stroll, a sniffing adventure, or simply stretching their legs, our fields offer the perfect balance of freedom and safety.
• Easy & hassle-free
Secure loading bays and a 5-minute gap between bookings mean you won’t run into other dogs, making it ideal for older, anxious, or slower-moving dogs.
• Places to rest
With soft grass, shelters, and seating areas, your dog can take a break whenever they need to.
• Perfect for pottering
Senior dogs may not race around like they used to, but they still love sniffing, exploring, and taking in the fresh air at their own pace.

Whether they want to potter, sniff, or simply relax in a safe environment, the Run Free fields give older dogs the freedom to enjoy life on their own terms. Book your session today and let them Run Free! www.runfreedogfields.co.uk

This week’s Sunday story features Oakley, a 1 year old Australian labradoodle and Ruby, a 7 year old border/lakeland terrier. They are an odd couple but have something very much in common – they love visiting the Run Free fields!

Stacey says: “Ruby likes going there because she not really allowed of the lead, so it’s a great place to take her. And Oakley likes to run around and play, so it’s amazing for the both of them. They are very sweet doggies and they love the Run Free fields.”

Thanks for your great photos and for sharing your story Stacey! If you have a Run Free story to share, please get in touch.

The Run Free fields are great for dogs of all ages. We’ve discussed puppies so now we’re looking at why Run Free fields are perfect for adolescent dogs.

If you’ve got a teenage dog on your hands, you’ll know they come with big energy, selective hearing, and a talent for mischief! Our Run Free enclosed dog fields are the perfect place to let them burn off steam in a safe environment – here’s why:

• Safe off-lead freedom
Adolescence is when recall can become… optional! In our secure fields, your dog can enjoy off-lead time without the risk of running off.
• Room to zoom
Young dogs need plenty of exercise to stay happy and healthy. Our fields offer space to sprint, sniff, and explore without worry.
• Training without distractions
Want to work on recall, focus, or impulse control? Our enclosed fields give you the perfect training ground with minimal distractions.
• Great for playdates
You get the field to yourself, but if your dog has a bestie, you can invite friends for a fun, controlled play session.
• Stress-free walks
If your adolescent dog struggles around other dogs or people, our private fields let them enjoy exercise without the pressures of a busy park.
• Fewer naughty behaviours
A tired dog is a good dog! A proper run helps prevent boredom-fuelled destruction (your shoes will thank you!).

Adolescence can be a challenging time, but with the right outlets, your dog can thrive. Give them freedom, fun, and a safe space to run! Book your session today and let them Run Free! www.runfreedogfields.co.uk

The Run Free fields are great for dogs of all ages. Firstly, let’s take a look at puppies! So why are Run Free fields perfect for puppies?

Bringing a new puppy into your life is exciting but finding the perfect safe space for them to explore, play, and learn can be tricky. That’s where Run Free enclosed dog fields come in! Here’s why they’re ideal for your little bundle of energy:

• Safe & secure
Our fully enclosed fields mean no risk of your pup running off or getting into trouble. You can focus on bonding and training without distractions.
• Perfect for puppy zoomies
Got a case of the zoomies? Let them run to their heart’s content without worrying about roads, other dogs, or busy parks.
• Great for socialisation
You get the field all to yourself, but if your puppy has some doggy pals, feel free to invite them along for a playdate! A positive, controlled introduction to other dogs is great for confidence-building.
• Training-friendly
Whether you’re working on recall, basic commands, or lead-free confidence, our secure fields provide the perfect training environment.
• No big-dog worries
Some puppies can be nervous around larger or boisterous dogs in public spaces. Here, they can play at their own pace, stress-free.
• Lots of sniffs & new experiences
Exploring new environments is vital for puppy development. Our fields are packed with exciting smells, open space, and the occasional muddy puddle for those who love a splash!

Give your puppy the best start in a safe, private, and fun environment. Book your session today and let them Run Free! www.runfreedogfields.co.uk

This weekend in our Sunday story we meet Luna, a one-year-old French Bulldog who absolutely loves her time at Run Free! French Bulldogs may be small, but they have big personalities and love to play! Because they can be prone to overheating and tiring quickly, having a secure space where they can run at their own pace and take breaks when needed is ideal. The Run Free fields provide the perfect mix of freedom and safety, allowing them to burn off energy without worry.

Catherine says: "Luna loves coming to Run Free so she can run with her friend Lexi while we can have a chat knowing they are secure!"

Our fields aren’t just great for dogs, they’re a perfect spot for owners to socialise too! Whether you're meeting up with friends or just enjoying some fresh air, it's a relaxing and enjoyable experience for both humans and their dogs!

Thanks Catherine and Luna for sharing your story. If you have a Run Free story to share, please get in touch.

This week’s Saturday story stars Max, a beautiful young fox red labrador. His family adopted him in April 2023 after he was returned to his breeder at 6 months old. Over the past couple of years Max’s family have worked hard building on his confidence with new people and dogs, and they’ve seen a huge difference in him. The Run Free fields have also played a part in helping Max.

Sarah says: “We use Run Free dog fields for stress free run and play time. Max can relax, be off lead and stay safe, away from the stress of other dogs. His recall has also slightly lapsed shall we say, so the fields are stress free for us humans too! The best idea and we can't thank you enough for giving us a safe space for our handsome boy!”

Thanks Sarah and Max for sharing your story. If you’d like to share your Run Free story, please get in touch.

This week we’re back with our Saturday story! This gorgeous boy is Sebastian, an 8-month-old Vizsla. His family describes him as half dog, half kangaroo! He’s learning lots about the world, like that he needs to be gentle with his tiny cat sister, and that he loves sticks and water! He has also learned that he loves going to Run Free fields!

Lorraine says: “The fields are really close and handy for us. We love the space and Sebastian’s even been through the tunnels and over the jumps. It’s lovely that we have a choice of local Run Free fields so he can explore new areas. And they’re perfect for a run around and some training!"

Thanks Lorraine and Sebastian for sharing your story and photos for us. If you have a Run Free story to tell, please get in touch.

"Let dogs be dogs." Mark Bekoff

Mark Bekoff PhD is a renowned animal behaviourist, and this quote perfectly captures why the Run Free fields are so important for our dogs.

In a safe, enclosed space, dogs can truly be themselves—sniffing, exploring, zooming, and playing freely without restrictions. It’s not just exercise, it’s enriching their senses, nurturing their personalities, and letting them enjoy life to the fullest.
