🐾🐾 Who loves a Black & Tan? 🐾🐾

Meet Denzil, a 5 year old Lancashire Heeler and his big baby brother, Douglas, a 3 month old Bloodhound puppy.

They are both native breeds and classed as 'vulnerable' by the Kennel Club due to their low popularity in this country at present.

Lancashire Heelers are energetic, outgoing, and full of character and fun. They are the smallest of all the UK pastoral (herding) breeds having been used in centuries gone by to drive livestock along roads to market.

Bloodhounds are scenthounds so they love to follow their noses. They are gentle, sensitive and very affectionate. As well as packs of bloodhounds hunting 'the clean boot' - a trail of human scent laid by a runner across open countryside, individual hounds are also trained to hunt missing people, both on land and underwater - just incredible!

And we think their matching black & tan markings are just gorgeous 🥰🥰🥰

We take bookings up to 5 weeks ahead so are now takings bookings up until Boxing Day.

As always, we will be closed on Christmas Day in order to (hopefully) enjoy an uninterrupted family day with our children - apologies for any disappointment.

🎅 If you wish to visit over the Christmas period, please book in plenty of time as we do tend to get booked up quite quickly.

❗Blood stocks are running critically low

We are running an extra donation session in Loughborough next week on Tuesday 27 August due to blood stocks being very low 😢

If you can attend, please book in via our app, give us a call on 01509 232222 (9am-5pm), or register by visiting our website. Appointments are available between 11am and 6pm.

If you live in the area and have a dog that meets the below criteria, please consider coming along and helping to save lives:

🎂 Between 1 and 8 years old
⚖️ Weigh over 25kg
🐶 Fit, healthy, and confident

We need to ensure we have enough blood in stock for any dog that needs it. Please help us if you can by coming along or sharing this post, we really need all the paws we can get! Thank you ❤️

You may have noticed that our nosey neighbours are back. They are very content at present as they are up to their tummies in grass! 🐂🐂🐂

They will enjoy a chat through the fence, and the calves like to play dare devils waiting at the fence but then running off when a dog comes to investigate 🤦🏻‍♀️😂
