We're absolutely buzzing to announce the return of the Sunday play groups.
I know many of you have been chomping at the bit to get back.
For this week only we will be open to non members (no membership fee for new visitors)
ALL CLASSES WILL BE ONLY £5 PER HOUR PER DOG
So tell your family, tell your friends, tell your neighbours!! Get yourself along for a visit
All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, friendly with other dogs. No females in season. If your unsure what group suits your dog message or call for details

This is an animal husbandry class suitable for young puppies and new puppy parents.
In this class you'll learn how to desensitise your puppy to noises, handling, socialising and also learn how to care for and get the best out of your new pup

It is with a very heavy heart that i need to write this post
Pawsitive Play has been my life for 3 years and I have given my all to making it a success. Unfortunately in what should be our busiest time, we are not seeing enough to sustain the business. I have taken out several loans and finance which unfortunately means that as money comes into the business it is drained by one of them and we aren't able to make it to the point of paying the current bills
From December 25th Pawsitive Play will be closing its doors to play groups and will be moving in a new direction by becoming a daycare
I have loved every minute of getting to know your little ones and have made lots of amazing friends along the way.
Once the daycare is up and running my hope is that we will be able to accommodate weekend playgroups again. but there will be a period of closure as we redesign the interior to fit with its new purpose. I look forward to seeing you all again soon but for the time being and for those who will no longer be able to attend, it has been an absolute pleasure watching your little ones grow with us and all the best for the future and thank you for sll the amazing memories

I've got that christmassy feeling today
Do forget we are open on 23rd and Christmas eve to tire those little ones out and make sure they're fast asleep for santa coming.
Santa paid us a visit today to get loads of pugs and kisses with the all about the pugs group and Edinburgh pugs group monthly meet up.
Then we have 2 very gorgeous puppies playing in our mixed group. I'm having a amazing day
Promise I'm not brooding for another pup. But a pug would fit in the foot of Katy bed 🤣

We have so much happening this weekend. It's all about the pugs ate back for another fantastic pug play. If you have a sweet snuffly pugalicious baby make sure you don't miss that. And a great meet up in the evening from 4-6pm. If you wish to attend be sure to contact China Leigh .
The weather is due to be very wet and nasty too so come see us for a drier dog.
Remember if this is your first visit come Long with your dogs vaccination record and we will get you in to your appropriate group

Santa's coming for an early visit. A visit to santa is just £8 and your going to get an amazing gift as well as the opportunity to let santa know exactly what you want on your Christmas list Saturday 25th from 11 am till 4pm.
There are 3 spaces available early afternoon tomorrow with CHP Photography Pm for space. It's only £35 for 3 digital images by a professional photographer!!!. Get Christmas card ready! Pm asap! Perfect for pups first Christmas or to celebrate your bond with your perfect little pal. Humans and doggos can be in the photos together.
Tonight is fireworks night and for a lot of dog owners the anxiety might have already begun. Knowing how our little loves react during this time of year can help us plan how to make the day as trauma free as possible. Unfortunately it's too late to start using desensitised sounds from YouTube but this is a great plan to start now for next year. Close all windows and draw the curtains to dull the noise of the bangs and to keep the smell of the smokey air outside. Turn up the volume on the TV and radios to blur the noise. Reggae music has been shown to be more relaxing for dogs than classical music, so get jammin to so old school reggae Give your pet access to whereever they feel safe, help them create a den where they feel cosy and secure. This could be in the bottom of your wardrobe or in their crate. Let them lead you to where they feel safe. Pack it with blankets and favourite toys etc. Giving licki mats or Kongs will encourage licking behaviour. Licking stimulates the release of dopamine in your pup. If you notice they are licking a paw or part of there body try to redirect them onto lacking a mat stuffed with there favourite treats. Peanut butter or natural yoghurt are great for loading up Kings and link mats, however, foods like banana, turkey breast and oat mild contain soothing hormones serotonin and tryptophan which can help sooth your nervous pup. Also a hearty carby pasta filled dinner can lul them in to a food nap. Get that last walk in before dusk so your little one is home and safe before the fireworks start Stay safe everyone Love from Ash and us all at pawsitive play

Today's small breed howloween party was a major success. All the dogs had a brilliant time. I hope everyone got enough to snack on. I can't wait to see all the videos and pictures get posting people. Unfortunately santa has had a few problems at the Northpole. A few of the elves are not very well and Santa is having to work hard in the workshop to ensure all the boys and girls are able to get there gift on Christmas. He will only be able to join us on Monday from 6pm so if your looking to visit the best Santa in Scotland you better book in asap for monday evening.
