Update 16/12/22: No one has come forward as of yet, please keep sharing so hopefully we can reunite them 🤞

LOST DOG
This lovely dog was handed into our Pyrford branch yesterday after being found on Pyrford lock.
Unfortunately no microchip found - Photographic evidence will therefore be required of the patient, alongside confirmation of the s*x of the dog. Please note it is a legal requirement for all dogs to microchipped from 8 weeks of age so we will be microchipping this patient and fees will be payable on collection.
If you have any information, please call the Pyrford branch on 01932 800 575.
Thank you!

Just a friendly reminder to all our clients regarding the current and upcoming heatwave. As we enter 31 degrees plus, the risks to our pets lives increase. Today there is a 9/10 chance of heat stroke if a pet is put in the wrong situation. Monday and Tuesday is 10/10.

Here are some friendly tips to help you and your furry pets these next few days…

• No car journeys- it’s too warm. If you need to pop out, keep your pets at home in a cool room with plenty of water and cool matts (if you have them)

• Avoid waking between 8am and 8pm. If ussure, look at the temperature chart on poster to see what the risks are to your pet for your current temperature readings. Do not worry, missing a couple walks may frustrate your pet, but will keep them safe ❤️

• Paddling pools. If you have access to a garden, try to avoid too much play and running in the heat but instead, put up a paddling pool so they can keep cool! If you are indoors, wet towels and place them on your furry friends! ❤️

Last but not least, look for the signs your pet may be in trouble! Excessive panting, change of colour to gums (bright red) and issues with mobility. If you see any of these issues, get them to a vets straight away! Heat stroke can kill. Remember we have a 24/7 advise line and hospital in surbiton. If concerned call them on 02083996666.

To everyone, stay safe and know we are always here for advise.

Todays Going To Be a Scorcher! ☀️🌡
If dogs are too hot and can't reduce their body temperature by panting, they may develop heatstroke which can be fatal. Heatstroke can affect any type of dog, but certain breeds and types of dog are at increased risk, including brachycephalic or flat-faced breeds such as English Bulldogs, Pugs and French Bulldogs.

We had a visit from our beautiful girl Ruby today, who needed her routine blood tests.
She brought mr giraffe along for moral support and she was such a brave girl! ❤️

Although bloods can sometimes be scary, they are important when taking long term medications to ensure there are no side effects and your pet is on the correct dose.

If you have a pet who is a little nervous for samples like Ruby, always speak to our wonderful team and we can work with them (like mr giraffe) to make the experience as positive as possible ❤️

Well done Ruby!

We are very saddened to say a black entire male cat was handed into us after a road traffic collision this afternoon near the BMW car garage.
Sadly, he did not survive 😞
He has no microchip so I have taken a photo of his collar with the hope we may be able to find his owners to inform them.
If you are the owner or know any information, please contact us on

Wisdom Wednesday

Puppies should only walk 5 minutes per month of age 🐾

Why?
🌟 Puppies growth plates fuse at approximately one year of age. In giant breeds they may remain open until 18-22 months 🐕‍🦺

🌟 Gentle walking that is gradually increased with age helps bone development in puppies

🌟 Too much high impact exercise can risk joint and bone damage which could lead to arthritis and his dysplasia in the future

Brandi loves coming in for his puppy checks, and now even helps himself to the gravy bones!! 🐕🦴

Penny is one of our patients who we all love and have watched her grow into the beautiful, kind natured dog she is today. So when we found out about this terrible incident, we were all heart broken… so glad she pulled through and we are able to continue to care for her and give her all the love she deserves ❤️

Owner Sophia Gallyer-Halligan is raising money to cover Penny's medical costs that are more than £7,000 and not fully covered by insurance

Our Story

Voo Vets Cobham is located in Copse Road, close to the main High Street, just off the A307 Portsmouth Road and only a few minutes from the A3. Local clients often walk to the practice, there are two parking spaces on the practice driveway, ample parking along the road, and bus stops are just a short walk away.

Our Cobham practice is well-established in the area, having offered general, primary care services since the 1970s. In 2008, the practice was converted, with the addition of the latest operating theatres, diagnostic equipment and comfortable kennels.

Continuous investment is made to better support our highly experienced team, to enable us to offer world-class general, primary, consultation, diagnostic, surgical and specialist services and the very best of care for you and your pets.

For more complex cases, surgeries, specialist and 24hr emergency care, we may treat your pet in our near-by hospital in Surbiton. Complimentary transport is available, if needed.
