Good morning everyone 👋👋
I am not feeling quite as laid back as Jax at the moment 🤣
I have made the decision for now that we won’t be accepting any new customers at this moment in time 😔 I am feeling so much pressure with the diary and to be honest it’s stressing me out a lot, I am booked up till June at the moment and this is causing problems getting my regular customers back in which I don’t see fair ! I do have a list of you would like to go on it for when i reopen the books if you’d like to go on it.
Would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to you all for your patience and custom ❤️🥰

09/03/2024

Seeing all the beautifully turned out dogs at Crufts makes me think that lots of pooches might enjoy a pamper session after the wet, muddy winter we've had, so I've teamed up with Shampoochies in Cockermouth to offer a UK giveaway. The winner can choose from a bath and tidy for their dog or products from their shop.

In addition to this, I'm offering one of my fantastic Daley's Dog Tales gift boxes for the young dog lover. This includes a signed copy of 'The Dalmatian that Lost its Spots,' a related activity book, a mini crochet Dalmatian and crochet bookmark, rosette and stickers. This could make the perfect gift to a child from the dog!

To enter:

1. Follow Helen Haraldsen
and (Cockermouth) https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063713435446

2. Like and share this post.

3. Comment 'Shampoochies', ' Gift Box' or BOTH to show which giveaway you'd like to enter.

Entries close Fri 22nd March.

Some bubbly doggies 😝🥰

Please if you get no answer from the mobile number please call the landline on 01900 267861. Calling the mobile 3,4,5 times in a row isn’t going to change the fact i can’t answer at that moment in time!
Also I don’t get my voicemails instantly so please if you haven’t had a call or message back please be patient and maybe try again as I probably haven’t received your message.
Thank you to everyone who is patient and understanding knowing my life is very full on I do appreciate it !
Love to you all ❤️❤️❤️

Looking to join a company that values work-life balance and a friendly working environment? Come join our team at No Name Travel! We're rapidly expanding and seeking drivers and passenger assistants in West Cumbria for an immediate start. Our core times are 7:30am to 9:30am and 2pm to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday during term time, with additional work available between school times and during school holidays.

We offer two options: self-employed and employed. As a self-employed school driver, you can earn £150 per day with the use of your own taxi. Employed drivers receive a rate of £12 per hour, with guaranteed weekly hours and company benefits such as pension, fantastic annual leave allowance during school holidays, overtime availability, and your own company vehicle.

We have both Copeland and Allerdale Operator Licenses, so if you already have either of these taxi badges, we can offer you an immediate start. Cumbria County Council clearance (or ability to get it) is essential.

To find out more, drop us a message or an email to [email protected] to arrange an informal chat. We look forward to hearing from you!

🌟 Fabulous News, The Cocker Bridge is open 🌟

News release from Cumberland Council
The Cocker Bridge in Cockermouth has reopened to traffic this morning (Friday 15 December).

The bridge was closed to vehicles following the partial collapse of the adjacent Old Courthouse building.

Work has been completed on a five-metre-high scaffold screening on the side of the bridge.

Traffic is being controlled by traffic lights on either side of the bridge. They will be manually controlled during term time (Monday to Friday) between 8am - 10am and 2pm - 4pm each day. Pedestrian access across the bridge will also be maintained.

Work on the screening started on Tuesday (12 December).

The work was commissioned by Cumberland Council and was undertaken by their specialist highways engineers.

Cumberland Council spokesperson said:

“Following the successful installation of the screening, the Cocker Bridge has now reopened to vehicles. Pedestrian access has been maintained too.

“The safety of bridge users is of paramount importance and the scaffold screening has allowed us to reopen the road to traffic.

“We would like to thank residents for their continued support to local businesses. Please continue to shop and buy local.”

The Cocker bridge was closed to traffic following the partial collapse of the Old Courthouse building. Although the building is privately owned, the council used emergency powers to protect public safety. They initially installed a covered walkway, soon after the building collapse which continues to provide pedestrian access into the town.

Other than two-way lights on either side of the bridge, all other traffic restrictions will be removed following the completion of the works.

The council’s Taste Cumbria event - held last weekend (Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December) - attracted thousands of visitors to the town. It was positioned close to the bridge as a means of supporting local traders.

Agencies - including Natural England, Historic England, the Environment Agency and Cumberland Council - are continuing to assess options for the Old Courthouse site.

It is highly complex and a series of issues impact on the options available:

The site is in private ownership.
The site is land locked, access to allow any works to be undertaken is challenging.
The building is Grade II listed and any further works is required to be minimal to protect the fabric of the historic building.
The River Cocker, adjacent to the site, is part of the River Derwent and Tributaries Site of Special Scientific Interest.
The impact on waste flows and the protection of flood defences needs careful consideration.
Any works need to minimise pollution from any debris.

So proud of Andrew & Vikki they’ve gone form 6 members of staff a year ago to 41 at this years party well done guys ❤️😘

Tonight is the annual No Name Travel Ltd Christmas party night, and it has definitely given us a moment of reflection. This time last year, our business was only 6 weeks old, and a total team of 7 of us went to Zest for a Christmas meal. This year, 41 of us are going to the party night at Energus tonight, and that's not even all of the team, as some couldn't make it.

We are so proud of the business and the team we have built, of the happy workplace we have created, and even more so about how this has allowed us to create so many jobs in our local area and given us the opportunity to give back to our community. We have taken part in the Centre for Leadership Performance Cumbria Bright Stars Project, organised sponsored beach cleans, provided IT equipment to a brand-new school, and raised awareness that more was needed (and helped find funding to make it happen). We have sponsored boxing clubs, cheerleaders, and a girls' football team. We have been into schools and education centers with Inspira for Life to be part of their careers days, signed up to take part in Chapter One UK and read with local school children, and this is just the tip of the iceberg. We have grabbed every social value opportunity with both hands and pride ourselves that in 12 short months, we are a truly local company making a big difference in the community that we live in.

It is heartwarming to see how far we have come in such a short span of time. Our dedication to improving the lives of those around us is what sets us apart from other businesses. We have not only grown as a company but also as a family. We are grateful for the support and appreciation we have received and will continue to strive towards making a positive impact. Cheers to our accomplishments and to the bright future that lies ahead. 🩶
