Pony Club offers children practical lessons in equine care and stable management. Our Pony Club evenings are on Monday and Wednesday evenings. For more information please message. L

Lessons take place on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturdays. Additional times can be arrange. Group Lessons cost just £20.00 for 45 minutes. Own-A-Pony Experiences:
We regularly run Own A Pony Days to enable children to experience the exhaustion and pleasure of owning a horse. These days run from 9am-4pm and cost just £40.00 per child. Children need to bring a packed lunch and wellington boots. Own A Pony Experiences include instruction on mucking out, grooming, riding, and games. We occasionally run similar experiences for adults. Birthday Parties:
We are pleased to be able to offer Fun and Games Ballawhestone Parties. Parties include a variety of team games on horse back. £150.00 for upto 10 children. For more information please call 472580.

Thank you to everyone who came to our first ever Demo evening with Percy. We hope you all found it informative. If you would like more demo nights let us know!

Stella, Rosie, Tiger and Jess were ace as our riders for the evening. Minestral, Richie, Lightening and Alfie all enjoyed being stars of the show.

We got some great pictures of Percy mid-presenting flow. Add captions to the pictures, just for fun 😂😉

Next Sunday (24th) we’ll be holding our next Clear Rounds competition and hope you’ll all remember everything you learnt tonight.

We are daydreaming our way back to early summer and our adventures away with the Mounted Games Riders to the Prince Philip Cup. Before we know it, it will be time to think about 2025 Games season and once again start training!

If you need to get your pony fix during the October half-term we have the following events taking place:

Monday 28-October - Preschool sessions and Holiday group lessons.

Wednesday 30-October - Pony Experience Day

Thursday 31-October - Preschool sessions and Holiday group lessons.

Time is flying by so fast this term that we almost missed scheduling our first Clear Rounds Competition of 2023/2024 school year! Never fear, we are going to run it this Sunday (20th October) 10am-12noon! Classes for everyone from Lead Rein to 50cm.

Clear Rounds competition is open to current Ballawhetstone Customers who have completed the Rider registration form.

2024 Mounted Games season has come to an end (almost). Our two Senior teams competed today at The Pony Club central zones Prince Philip Cup. As with all our trips we aim for the kids to make happy memories which will last a lifetime and we certainly did just that! Our riders and horses were awesome in the arena, showing resilience when races were not quite going our way. The cheered each other on, patted and celebrated their ponies achievements.

We are proud of every rider from this weekend and the epic game of ManHunt before we loaded up to head back to the lorry will be remembered for ever more!

So, our competitive Mounted Games season comes to an end. Thank you to all the organisers, helpers, parents and riders.

The Pony Club Prince Philip Cup Area 4 Mounted Games Competition! We had the most amazing adventure to the Mounted Games Competition and are still buzzing from the fun we had last weekend. In total Ballawhetstone Stables was represented by 20 children, 12 ponies and a whole army of very loud cheerleaders! Our four team (2 x Novice and 2 x Seniors) did so well and rode their hearts out. For some of our riders this was their first competition and first time riding outside the arena, for others they were seasoned pros but certainly stepped up a level with new speed skills. With all these trips and events our aim is to support our riders' development and provide opportunities to make life-long memories and happy friendships. The members that join us are encouraged to get fully involved, that includes tack cleaning, mucking out and bathing ponies. Everyone comes home exhausted but happy. These trips would not be possible without the support of our Pony Club Parents and a whole team of people so to be read the following list as if it was an Oscars Ceremony awards speech. We would like to thank (in no particular order):- • Queen of the butties and keeping us all hydrated – Lucinda • Games Trainer with patience of a saint and mean volleyball technique – George • Minibus driver who keeps within the speed limit but always beats the sat nav – David • Horse bather with the magic touch – Lorna • Trailer driver, coordinator and Tack Cleaner – Zoe • Speed-runner, queen of vault training and team groom – Gypsy • The Boss of all things Ballawhetstone – Stella Special Mention to Syd, Herb and Stella for taking on the challenge of turning Chomp into a bright white marshmallow! The rest of us were not quite brave enough! Here is a glimpse of our adventures. Sound on to hear the Ballawhetstone cheer squad in full voice!

Cancellation policy: We require 24 hours’ notice for a cancellation or the session will need to be paid for, or moved to a different session time that week, We appreciate that there will always be circumstances where giving 24 hours’ notice is not possible and we will always do our best to be accommodating.
