I wonder how many of you have kids—specifically, human kids. There’s something truly special about witnessing the moment when children find comfort in the embrace of a loving mother. Interestingly, our furry companions do the same; they place all their trust and loyalty in us as their parents.
During the summer, I typically take a longer vacation, around three weeks. That’s when I call my mother-in-law to look after our cats. I have complete confidence in her love for animals, so I know my furry babies are in safe hands.
A couple of summers ago, while we were away, my child’s godmother called to tell me that Dulcinea was going to be heartbroken. And believe me, that’s not an exaggeration or a joke. Dulcinea truly struggles without me. She is, without a doubt, the most intelligent animal I’ve ever known. Many might think I’m blowing things out of proportion, but I assure you, I’m not!!! At times, it’s almost incredible how well she understands me. While she doesn’t speak, she shows her feelings through her actions. She is my soul mate, and she knows it; I am her soul, her very breath. It’s an incredible feeling to know that someone loves you so deeply.
