Make wayyy for “Wesley” 💙

With a brilliant pair of owners beside him, 10 week old cocker pup Wesley will be joining me every week for puppy raise and train / day care where we will work through puppy foundations from foundation obedience, crate training, recall , markers , exposure and socialisation.

This little sweetie but with bags of energy is gonna be a joy & fun to watch grow and work with!!

Came for her first puppy raise and train / structured day care with me today monday so we started with exposure , confidence building and just generally rewarding confidence and want to explore when out and about rather than be fearful or nervous (which can be very common)

Over her future stays with me we will work through puppy foundations from foundation obedience, play to recall , marker charging, exposure and socilisation

𝗘𝗬𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗧 👀 in the dog world and in the human world is very different.

While humans may maintain eye contact for minutes at a time like during a very serious convosation.

Dogs will typically make very brief eye contact when they meeting a new dog, especially if they’re deciding if they want to play or interact with that dog.

This is why when meeting another dog. I wouldn’t ever do “head on. greeting/meetings” with dogs as that instantly creates that “head to head / eyes to eyes positioning”. Instead go for a co-existing “pack walk” walking with their owner and just have them simply being “around” each-other.

This body language is ALLOT more respectful and allow the dogs to even get to know the other dog through scent and just their presence without invade each others space.

REMEMBER dogs don’t “need” friends also. That’s a very “human based” way of thinking which is sometimes put onto a dog

M A C ✨

This boy of 16-18 month old is a young rescue K9 is a dog I am working with via 121”s with his owners to help with his leash walking but also general obedience also as this young lad who (I have a feeling I know what breeds are in him) has allot allot of strength and SPEED (also meaning he is also quick at doing things which arnt ideal) and allot of energy and intelligence to be fulfilled.

But….I love seeing such a committed family and in one session he’s already made improvements as one thing he doesn’t lack is speed in picking up obedience so I’m very happy to be helping on his boys journey 💪

Tiny little pupper Poppy 🌹

We had a 121 session with poppy and her family covering everything from charging markers to building a solid recall to and not jumping up on people when passing by.

Is was amazing to see just how confident poppy was even in a new environment she took everything in and with such dedicated owners she’s sure gonna fly 🙌

Tiny Timmy started his puppy raise and train package with me at 8weeks old where Timmy and his owners had 121 sessions with myself to give them the absolute best start 💙

Since then he’s also joined me every week for structured day training/care where along side myself we got him out into the world covering everything from:
•Markers
•Exposure
•Confidence building
•Socilisation
•Obedience
and little bits of Loose leash walking

I couldn’t be prouder of this little guy and the progress & type of young dog he has become already!! 🤩

121 session with Remi and her family today covering all things puppy foundations.

One thing I loved was how invested they are into training E.g crate training they started with Remi from day dot so they took no convincing of crate training being just one of the amazing puppy foundation things.

Tiny Tim says….

When out and about, so so many people then think “all dogs are for me to touch” or “ OMG cute puppy I must touch ”

❌ However......you can’t just go and hug a total stranger just because they are cute or their hair is “floofy”

But somehow when it’s a cute dog or pup it’s different???

❌My dog is MY dog and I have the right to say, “no, you can’t say hello” just as much as I have the right to say, “keep your hands off my bag or my hair or my arm”

Dog owners should be treated like they are private property owners and then a lot fewer dog owners would be forced to deal with the stress of judgment for securing their dog’s physical & mental well-being💯

🏔 When embarking on an endeavor, we often feel pressure to succeed immediately such as learning a new sport,new language, a new skill.

Dog training is no different. It can be disheartening to jump into a training plan with a clear goal in mind to then find yourself struggling. You may blame yourself 🏔

❔How do I know if I may be moving to quickly for my dog???

Some signs may be:
- A dog “checking out” of engaging with you and the training
- Incomplete foundation skills
- Inability to perform commands which YOU KNOW the dog understands

❔What do I do then??

The best thing you can do is to take a step back and think about if enough time was given / put into teaching the dog foundation skills, the ability to take instruction around distractions, the three D’s and building engagement and your relationship.

Somtimes going back over the last step you did or even the beginning steps of what it is your working on can create a even stronger platform to then go forward from.

Even the most skilled dog trainers have been in this position and Don’t ever be worried or fearful about just taking a step back to think AND take note of how your feeling e.g are you tense or anxious.

Luna”s transformation🌛

I worked with Luna and her owner today to help re build + re connect them on their walks, as at the beginning, Luna”s view of the world was literally her nose to the floor constantly

Then whenever she would look up, it then be her pulling to get over to the the other dog , the child, the person, follow the moving scooter or skateboarder.

But NOW, after re-conditioning her to leash pressure , introducing a marker word system for further clarity and channeling her love of movement into building engagement via games of tug and using reward events……I now see a dog and owner who are in sync, happy and confident with a greater understanding and just having so much more fun together + the ability to walk loose leashed even in a challenging distractions all around environment.

I couldn’t be happier with how this team did & loved just watching them both well…”BOSS” the park paths even with everything that was going in 🤜🤛☺️

This sweetie and her owner had their first 121 session with me today and I LOVED how many questions the owner had about training and how invested he is in giving willow the best foundations possible so today we covered crate training , play , building a “YES” marker. and toilet training.

I can’t wait to see and help another puppy team blossom 🪷

💡Clarity 💡

A E-collar can be just one tool which can help a K9 live a safe off leash free life with the ultimate amount of clarity in what sort of recall is then expected.

AKA a straight away back with no hesitation kind of recall

(For example, you have a dog exploring and running around off leash at a very far distance you see a on leash dog coming so you press the stim on the E-collar like a *silent recall* to which your dog turns and bounds right back ready for its reward weather it’s food and/or play and reward events)

When the dog begins to truly understand how to turn the “pressure off” ultimate CLARITY can be achieved giving the dog an amazing life of safe freedom with the safety of a E-collar underneath it all.

Maya”s 5th walk n train session…..

We have started bringing even more environments into our training walks now (having built a lovely level of engagement, a clear marker words system and confidence first 💯)

Including the basics of obedience such as loose leash walking which Maya is picking up beautifully.

🤩She’s also continuing to see and learn that we don’t have to interact with every one of those dogs or people who walk by.

Reactive TO….Free from fear and anxiety

Rescue Shihtzus Milly and May struggle with fear based reactivity to other dogs These girls are puppy farm survivors, mum was used a breeding machine and Millie was her one surviving pup so they have only ever seen the world as a scary place including other dogs. So , we started working through it. Began at the farthest distance we could, walking side on to reduce possibility for direct eye contact (with the goal to gradually decrease the gap as the walk went on and depending on the girls body language & reduction in reactions) Then with their reactivity / level of reactions lessening along side interrupting any time they started to fixate or “load” we begun to decrease that distance /threshold line….and soon…well, see the video above 🏆 📩 Message/DM for any training enquires so we can get you to your GOAL

1 powerful pulling K9 & a owner needing help!!

1 big powerful lab, arrived double leashed and a owner in need of help…. ⚠️ Due to severe pulling, no engagement or handler awareness and a BIG safety issue for not only the owner having had times where she nearly ended up being pulled into a main road!!! ⚠️ But for a passer by”s also who may have ended up getting knocked over or barged!! A blossoming Lotus K9 raised puppy Cocker spaniel S U M M E R 💛 Her owners started working with me even before they brought summer home via a pre puppy arrival video call session to prepare. We then had another video call on summers arrival day (8weeks of age) to ensure the absolute best possible start. 13 weeks old, we then had a in person 1 to 1 session to truly begin everything from foundation obedience to play skills, exposure and socialisation. Onwards from then, they have had continued support from myself to be beside them through any milestone, development stages / ages and just continue to get stronger and stronger in their relationship. Theo finding OFF LEASH FREEDOM

Theo’s recall journey for me well…it’s hard to sum up just how special it’s been to have seen this boy flourish. ❌ Seeing him go from, not being able to be off leash at all due to •the risk of him barking and running up to any dog in sight and •the environment always winning over any engagement with the human. To now ➡️ being able to run through fields totally off leash to then be recalled…with a literal as happy as can be bouncing and leaping back response (EVEN his new little brother reggie is learning from his example and has one beautiful recall also) This to me encapsulates why I love what I do. Seeing and being able to transform a dogs life.
