Minnie popped in to see us today, she is from our Snippet Pug's litter a little over a year ago! She has turned out amazingly and everything I had hoped for! She is in season now and I hope I'm at the VERY top of the waiting list 😂🖤 check out her litter mate OZZY at Eturnabullz Kennels who is standing at Stud; he has also turned into a super special Pug 🖤🐾🖤🐾🖤🐾🖤

We're getting close now to being ready for you all!!!! The shop is getting stocked up and the groomers equipment is all going in! Hey everyone, I'm opening a vets 💃 Hunt&Harris Hullbridge & I will be opening a Colchester branch in early 2024!! All clinic services will be available from now at the new location, and going forward we will be a veterinary reproduction specialist branch, doing everything from progesterone to c section, vaccines & export papers.

EDIT we will ALWAYS be non breed discriminatory ANIMAL comes FIRST

Remember the rescue dog who turned out to be pregnant??!!

What a wonderful 8 weeks it has been, from delivery to microchipping. Jan & Aide, you did it!! It was my absolute pleasure being there for you, the puppies & Millie. Now they are leaving and you have an unexpected extra dog 😆 You have had a great experience & have some lovely memories, I'll always be on the end of the what's app if you need 'a talking to' or 'virtual hug' thank you for the lovely cards and gifts, I will miss you!!

It's now the weather to avoid walking your dogs in but let's talk heating your litters!!

PLEASE TURN OFF YOUR HEAT MATS & LAMPS!!

In this sweltering heat, the puppies will also be hot & so will mum, overheating leads to dehydrated, lethargic puppies who will lose desire to feed.

I had a call from a lovely but very worried lady on Thursday, she had got a dog from a 'rescue' centre, & long story short, the dog was pregnant, rescue & vets unhelpful & she had found me, she wanted me to take the dog on on for an in house whelp due to her & her husband having no experience & feeling totally overwhelmed & unprepared. I explained that as the dog in question is a Jack Russell I felt that myself delivering the puppies & supporting her with everything going forward would be the best solution & that she absolutely could do this!!

I visited the following day, the little dog & I explained that I was certain labour was imminent & explained everything they needed to know at that point. They were very impressed with the ultrasound scan as the vet had taken the dog away to do it, they hadn't seen anything & the vet was unable to say how far along the dog was.

2 days later & the little dog went into labour, the owners were able to deliver the first 2 puppies with me on the phone while is was en route, & they did amazingly ❤️

In the end, 6 healthy puppies were born, all between 160g & 190g & there were no complications. I was concerned as we didn't know anything of the sire to the litter, but everything went well & it seems to be a small dog who had fathered the litter, we are all very relieved about that!

I'm looking forward to supporting them over the next 8 weeks or so & seeing what the puppies turn out like! Mumma dog has been brilliant & taken on her new role fantastically ❤️❤️

Please can everyone share this far & wide! One of my very best friends little dog Mim, is in need of a very serious spinal operation after a fall due to an ear infection. She is now with a specialist vet who has said the prognosis is good, so now it is just a matter of raising the funds! I will be begging all my clients, family & friends for donations, if you can't or don't want to donate PLEASE SHARE for me, that will help us!!! Thank you all, much love ❤️
