Important winter dog grooming advice:
Itβs important to get you dog groomed even in winter although its cold longer and ungroomed hair isnβt the answer. It can cause a range of issues for your pooch! Such as:
Matts: Especially with all the lovely coats and jumpers we put on our dogs in these months unfortunately can lead to many matts under legs, in the armpits and on the chest. Regular grooming will help avoid these and keep the coat and skin in good condition!
Muddy puddles: While we all like to splash in muddy puddles if not washed off properly can impact your dogs coat and skin, I offer a bath, brush and blow dry at just Β£20 for those after walk touch ups or weekly to monthly catch ups to make sure itβs all out ready for the next adventure!
Paws: Paws can be very sensitive this time of year so we need to be washing them after each walk as there could be salt or grit on them you can also use a paw balm after but this isnβt essential, just make sure they are nice and clean.
Also keeping their nails and paws neat and tidy can help prevent getting ice or salt trapped between the toes I offer nail clipping with paw touch up at just Β£10!!
Lastly fleas: Even in winter thanks to the invention of central heating flea pupae can survive for several months so preventative care is the way to go here I offer a pre-groom full health check to spot any fleas or other issues I can make you aware of
Also keeping up with your flea and worming treatments are still very vital in the winter months to prevent them from taking hold in the first place!
Have a safe and happy winter everyone any questions please give me a call by visiting my page πΆπΆππππ
