⭐️⭐️ PLEASE BARE WITH ME ⭐️⭐️

I’m having a nightmare of a week. Yesterday my boy Hugo ate something toxic and was extremely unwell. Thankfully ours vets literally saved his life.

And I now have a slipped disc in my neck which is very painful. I have been working but I need a day or two to allow the stronger medication to kick in. I will get to reply to everyone but please be patient as I have a family life to juggle as well as work

Today I had to make the hardest decision and let my dear old horse, Milly, pass peacefully. I will need time to grieve. Please respect this.

A little before and after for you. This little guy is in fact a poodle cross. His owners were happy for their doodle to be poodled and the results are amazing!

Please bare in mind it is currently Easter school holidays so I’m juggling a baby and my 9yr old as well as work and I’ve been unwell with tonsillitis and now sinusitis 🤦‍♀️

✂️ Today was my very first grooming competition. With last minute change of plans I took Dolly into the Asian fusion class Salon Groomer Of The Year Main Page I was extremely nervous 😱

Huge thank you to Dolly’s owners Claire Wild for trusting me with Dolly. She behaved amazing all day, such a sweetheart and an absolute pleasure to groom. Love this girl so much ♥️

My class was a large class full of amazing groomers who all turned out stunning grooms. Sadly I was not placed but as my first competition it was a valuable experience and the judges were kind with their comments.

Huge thank you to Louise for her love and support and congratulations on doing so well in your class ⭐️ special mention to the lovely Aimee (https://www.facebook.com/Bubblesandcuddles)
who loaned us the use of her cordless clippers. I am so very grateful.

To frame the groom Dolly is wearing a collar from Bling Me up and a rose clip crocheted by my friend Charly who kindly made it last minute for me. I am soooo grateful 🥹

⭐️ URGENT - anyone with a POODLE or poodle type and coat, or a shihtzu, Maltese or yorkie BUT they MUST have a FULL grown out coat. This is a must as I now do not have time to mess about 😩 prep needs to be done today ready for tomorrow

Desperately needed for tomorrow for a grooming competition. Unfortunately the original model dog’s coat is not going to hold the groom I need to do (Asian fusion)

⭐️ MODEL NOW FOUND THANK YOU ⭐️

I am after a model whose coat has grown out and in reasonable to good condition. There is a local Dog Groomers competition at Markstey on the 2nd of April which I’d love to be able to enter.

You would need to be willing to allow me to take your dog for the entire day. They need to be well adjusted to being groomed and happy to be around other dogs. The groom will be FREE of charge.

Ideally I would be interested in one of the following-

⭐️Handstrip of - Westie / Scottish Terrier / schnauzer, Airedale
⭐️Pure breeds - Bichon / poodle / shihtzu / show cocker / Pomeranian / yorkie
⭐️Cross breeds - any doodle with thick curly coats that have grown reasonably long and you’d be willing to have any style. Bichon crosses.
⭐️ Asian fusion style groom for any poodle type coats or grown out shihtzu or yorkie

If you think your dog would cope and happy for me to bring them along to the competition with me please provide details and a photo below. I can only pick one dog! Entries close today 🤞🏻😫

⭐️ POLITE NOTICE ⭐️

I am very aware I STILL have many messages to reply to. As mentioned previously I have an unwell baby.

Just to update- it is an on going issue at the moment of which he is under a paediatrician and dietitian for. NHS waiting times even for an unwell baby are ridiculous. We have our first appointment next week.

I am slowly trying to get back to working, however it’s completely dictated by this little one 👇🏻 because when he’s not well he’s really not well. He stops eating and drinking and vomits. Day and night. As well as some other unsavoury problems in the nappy area.

If I haven’t replied to you I apologise. It’s really difficult to care for a poorly baby and be work. I will get back to customers as quick as humanly possible

⭐️ BARE WITH ME ⭐️

I know there are messages needing response, however I have had two unwell children over Christmas.

I am currently trying to get urgent attention for my baby today (06/01/23) due to an on going issue that needs looking into immediately and I’m getting nowhere with the hospital. So I’m a tad preoccupied with getting him the care he needs before I book grooms in.

I will reply asap but I don’t want to book anything in until I know what drs intend to do.

⭐️🎄🐾 I AM NOW CLOSED FOR CHRISTMAS 🐾♥️🥳

Leaving you with this little guy! His owner likes him short all over, I had to have a bit of fun mid groom, and turned the cute Marley into a mini lion 🦁 briefly!!!!

I shall return on the 4th of January 2023.

No messages or calls etc will be answered until then. I well and truly need a rest and time away from my work phone.

🐾⭐️ CANCELLATIONS ⭐️🐾

I have had a few cancellations at short notice this month. As a small business, solely owned and run by myself, it comes at huge loss each time.

What doesn’t seem like much to you, it is for me and my family. When I have mouths to feed and bills to pay. Under 24hrs notice of a cancellation becomes impossible to refill the slot. So please rethink cancelling. If you know well in advance you no longer need the appointment for WHATEVER reason just say so, I won’t mind, but give me enough warning that’s all I have ever asked for.

Obviously if it’s for a genuine reason then I appreciate that. I have never charged a cancellation fee. By choosing not to I am putting trust in you that when you cancel you really did need to.

However having suffered another cancellation today of a double slot and so close to Christmas I feel that come the New Year I will be requesting a non refundable deposit when booking your appointments. I will update when necessary.

🐾 Quick Notice 🐾

I know I do have a few people waiting on my reply. I will get back to you ASAP. Please bare in mind I have a 9yr old and 7month old sons. I do juggle home life as well as self employment so I do take time away from work and messages to spend important time making memories with family.

I am going to be attempting to organise my time a bit better and separating work and home life by getting a new private mobile number. This will mean that my work number will remain the same number but that I will be turning it off in evenings and sundays.

I get an awful lot of messages come through late evening, middle of the night and weekends. In particular a Sunday. I really need to take time out for myself and find it can be a bit overwhelming to have my phone going off.

I am always torn between replying as quick as possible and trying to get on with my days. So please bare with me as I try to get a grip on things!! I don’t want customers thinking I’m being rude but i simply can not always reply immediately. I don’t get much time to sit down with my diary. I like to reply when I can so I don’t forget to write into it!

How gorgeous are these two pups, Maple and Dodger 🥰 these two are litter mates (in separate households but the same family). Two very different coats with specific grooming needs for each. I look forward to seeing them grow 😍

I get full quickly on the lead up to Christmas. If you have yet to book your dog or cat in for their grooms for December please can you do so over the next few weeks.

I will be working up to the 22nd of December 2022 and then closed and reopen on the 2nd of January 2023. I won’t be able to guarantee any last minute appointments as we get closer to Christmas. So please book in advance to avoid disappointment 😊🙏🏻
