Fletchers Farm Livery yard looking for a groom.

We are looking for a full-time groom or part time grooms to join our team. Must be reliable, work at a fast pace, alone and as part of a team. The roles include general yard jobs with no ridden work. Days can be discussed but will be between 8am - 5pm and include some weekend hours.

Applicant must have equine knowledge, but training provided so previous equine work experience would be a bonus but not essential.

Driving licence necessary. Trial period required. Yard located in Fordham.

Due to livery yard expansion we require a livery assistant who is able to work at a fast pace, alone and as part of a team. The roles includes general yard jobs with no ridden work. Days can be discussed, but will be between 8am - 5pm and include some weekend hours. Must love horses and be confident when handling different breeds. Applicants are not required to have previous equine work experience because training will be given, but must have a general knowledge of horses and their needs. Driving licence necessary. Trial period required.

Full time Groom required for maternity cover to start February

Fletchers Farm Riding School is a BHS, Pony Club & ABRS approved riding school based in Fordham, near Colchester.
We are seeking an experienced groom to join our team for a maternity cover contract. The role will involve all yard duties and working with the team to ensure lessons run on time and the yard runs efficiently.
The post could further involve occasional schooling of the horses and escorting hacks for the right person but this is not an essential requirement. The ideal person must be reliable, hard working with a flexible, hands on attitude, and must enjoy working with both horses and customers.
You will need to be able to demonstrate previous relevant industry experience and ideally hold a relevant qualification at a level 2 or above. The post does require a driving licence for use of the onsite vehicle. Hours are full time and include working a Tuesday evening and
Saturday but you will also be required to cover holidays/ show days.
Starting pay NMW but dependant on qualifications/experience.

Wednesday 27th October - Fun Children/Adults Le Trec Obstacles & Competition
Riding in groups in the outdoor arena, practice a range of obstacles and challenges with your pony and instructor. Each group will then have a fun timed competition against the other riders in their group to see who can complete the course in quickest time. Rosettes for placings in each group.

Times from 10.00hrs
10.00 -11.00 Lead rein at walk (or very nervous riders just wanting to walk)
11.00 - 12.00 Lead rein /Novice - must be able to trot
12.00 - 13.00 Novice or above - must be able to conter

Current legislation allows for public use of fireworks 16 hours a day, every day, making it impossible for vulnerable groups to take precautions against the distress they can cause. Better enforcement of existing law is insufficient; limiting their sale & use to licensed displays only is necessary.

Space available for a working livery of 15.-16.1hh at Fletchers Farm Riding School in Fordham near to Colchester, Essex. BHS/ABRS/Pony Club approved & Council Licenced school who can offer individual turnout, fantastic facilities and access to EAFR and farmland hacking from our site. Experienced team to look after your horse. We are seeking a good natured, all rounder to join our equine team for use in private and group lessons under instructor supervision. Sunday Groom required for BHS Approved Fletchers Farm Riding School in Fordham near Colchester.
Applicants must hold a level 1 or above in Horse Care (or be able to demonstrate relevant equivalent experience) with a flexible/reliable approach to their work, as well as possess good customer skills. Duties will include all general yard work and assisting in ensuring lessons run to time, as well as taking some customer bookings. Applicants need to hold a driving licence as they will be required to use a work gator for the role.
This part time post offers hours on a Sunday from 08.00-17.15 with a one- hour lunch break and some holiday cover (including evenings) as required. Wages in line with NMW.
