Frozen lickimats & cooling collars for the win!

🥵 🧊 🐾

Don’t walk your dogs tonight, don’t be that person! 🫠

‼️ INDOOR ACTIVITY TIME! 🤩

🫣 hide & seek with treats/kibble or fave toys 🧸
🧩 treat/kibble puzzles
🧊 frozen stuffed dog toys (kongs/lickimats)
🪭 keep them cool with fans, cooling collars, and/or cooling mats! 🥶
❌ DO NOT WALK THEM if the temperature is above 24°c (I wouldn’t be walking dogs anything above 19°c personally, around 17/18°c for senior dogs & puppies) it doesn’t matter if the pavements have cooled, the air is too warm 🔥
🐾 keep paws & beneath the ears cool for better comfort 🐶
💦 encourage them to drink more, place more fresh bowls of water around the house 🏡
🍦 treat them to some doggie ice cream! 😉
🐰 please check on your bunnies & guinea pigs, freshen their water, give them some frozen veg, and a frozen bottle to snuggle up to, treat & check your bunny bottoms for fly strike! 🪰

🚨 HEAT STROKE KILLS!!! 🚨

The AMOUNT of IDIOTS I have seen walking their dogs in the blazing sun saddens me deeply. Even if they walk in the shade, it’s still TOO hot. Leave them indoors today with a cooling mat, or collar, or both! A fan on, and plenty of fresh drinking water.

Indoor Brain 🧠 Stimulation ideas for when it’s cooler but still too warm for a walk….🥵

🐶 Fill up a Kong/puzzle ball/lickimat with their favourite treats (freeze the Kongs/Lickimats so they last longer!)🧊

🐶 play hide & seek with their favourite toy 🧸

🐶 keep them in a cool area with plenty of shade & air!

🐶 make sure there is fresh water in a few places around the home, sometimes dogs forget to drink unless they can see it!

🐶 cool them down with an ice cream from Bones Bakery! 🤩🍦

Please keep your outdoor animals comfortable and safe during this weather, bunnies are at high risk for fly strike & their bottoms should be checked regularly! Make sure their water bottles are fresh & out of direct sunlight. Freeze some veg in water for a tasty treat! They also LOVE a frozen water bottle to nestle into….
