I am the inspiration behind Hugo's Pawtisserie, well, my appetite is! My mum loves me so much, I know this because she gives me treats every day! Thing is, I am intolerant to wheat and have all kinds of allergies, so sometimes store bought treats upset my tummy. With this in mind, Mum decided to start baking natural treats. She takes the time to research each and every ingredient so I can be sure that the treats I love to eat will love me back!

10 years ago today, I found my soulmate. I can’t believe it’s been 130 days since you left us. Sometimes it stil catches me off guard. Life has gone at lightning speed, but there’s not been a day where you haven’t been remembered and missed. I cherish the memories we made together, and carry you with me always, in a locket around my neck, I know I’ll see you again one day. I love you. 💙🐾🌈

Hector has unwrapped his presents from Santa paws, including a little planet appropriately named Hugo, so he can enjoy playing with his brother again this Christmas. There’s a big piece missing from our Christmas this year, but we’re grateful to have so many amazing memories of Christmases past to hold on to. We know Hugo will be hosting the Christmas party over the rainbow bridge, unwrapping presents that weren’t for him and hiding them in his bed, barking at baubles and munching on smoked salmon and Turkey ♥️🌈🐾 Happy Christmas everyone 💙

After lots of thought, I have an announcement to make: Hugo was the inspiration behind Hugo’s Pawtisserie, when he became ill the bakery helped to fund his treatment. Thanks to your support, he enjoyed two extra years of life, crammed with happy memories and so much love for which I’ll forever be grateful. Hugo’s Pawtisserie is his legacy, and through this his memory will live on. Therefore I will continue to bake cakes for collection. Thank you 🐾🍰

From time to time people tell me, "Lighten up, it's just a dog, or, "That's a lot of money for just a dog." They don't understand the distance traveled, time spent, or costs involved for "Just a dog. Some of my proudest moments have come about with "Just a dog." Many hours have passed with my only company being "Just a dog," and not once have I felt slighted. Some of my saddest moments were brought about by "Just a dog." In those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "Just a dog" provided comfort and purpose to overcome the day.
If you, too, think its "Just a dog, you will probably understand phrases like "Just a friend," "Just a sunrise," or "Just a promise. "Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy. "Just a dog" brings out. the compassion and patience that makes me a better person. Because of "Just a dog" I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future.
For me and folks like me, it's not "Just a dog." It's an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories. of the past, and the pure joy of the moment. "Just a dog" brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.
I hope that someday people can understand it's not "Just a dog. It's the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "Just a man or woman."
So the next time you hear the phrase "Just a dog, smile, because they "Just Don't Understand.

Hugo is home, where he belongs. 💙🌈🐾🕊️💐

I can’t describe the emptiness I’m feeling, when I’m sat alone in the dark, in those lonely moments between night feeds, I sometimes forget he’s gone. Sometimes I see him in the kitchen, snuggled up in his bed, or feel him by my feet in mine. The pain is so raw, I can’t imagine I’ll ever feel okay again, though I’m reassured by many that it will get gentler.

I’ve been forever touched by the outpouring of love Hugo received in life and in his passing. He meant so much to so many. He’ll forever be loved and eternally missed.

Recently, someone told me that grief is a rough road softened by pebbles of memories. I know in time I’ll be able to look at his photos and smile again. Until that time I’ll continue to light a candle each evening, take a moment to remember him and let the tears out.
